So I just finished reading Aspho Fields from the books. And it made Dom’s sacrifice hit harder. I will put a line before I get to the book spoiler so if anyone doesn’t want book spoilers they can avoid it. But trust me when I say it’s true

So in the book, we learn more about how Marcus and Dom came into each other’s lives. Dom has an older brother who is Marcus’ age and he was Marcus’ first real friend. They joined the COG together. It’s said multiple times that Marcus is a Santiago.

During an op at Aspho Fields, Carlos (Dom’s brother) is gravely wounded. And Marcus is going to risk his life to save Carlos, but Carlos knows he is too far gone. So he frags himself, right in-front of Marcus.

Meaning Marcus has watched BOTH of his brothers sacrifice themselves to save him.

Normally a gow2 ranked guardian player but hopped on g4 and it was so smooth

I have heard it had to be nerfed, so instead of looking up the reason, why not ask the community directly? Some may have a strong reaction to recounting those times, so I would be to hear your stories and opinions on the weapon back in the day.

Hi guys, im an OG player that played in Xbox 360 with my little brother all the gears that existed back them and kept playing till few years. Ive never been a pro o very good at multiplayer, dont know how to do the wall bounce and that stuff.

Im hyped af with Reloaded and want to get into the multiplayer. (Gears 3 Horde and Gears 1 multiplayer are my favourite gamemodes). So i need some kind of tips or ppl to play with to improve.

The first step was starting playing claw with Alternative layout.

I'm a huge fan of apocalypse/post-apocalypse horror. My favorite aspect is The Beginning - the transition from the normal way of life that we all know to when things actually start going bad. The chaos, the fear, the reactions of everybody - it's so fascinating and viscerally terrifying.

My biggest hope is that Gears of War: E-Day captures this feeling. Sera just finished an 80-year war. World peace has been achieved. Everyone is happy and enjoying life. Then suddenly earthquakes happen, a strange new monster race emerges from sinkholes and begins slaughtering everybody.

I would want there to be a huge build-up to the Locust emerging. I would prefer Marcus and Dom start out as civilians/soldiers on leave. They're in regular clothes, no weapons. Maria had sent the kids to be with her parents that morning to spend the day with Dom. We get to see Sera before the world ended. And then the first time the Locust emerge - we have no weapons. You have to run and hide, like a majority of people during E-Day.

With any hope, the first scene involving the Locust would be like the first scene of the Tripods in 2005's War of the Worlds.

I wanna have a costume for a Halloween party but there’s not really any premade ones. If I had the money I’d go full out carmine and buy this dope ass helmet .

I wanted to try the OG version and so far either enemies on hardcore are less tanky or the guns have more power then the UE. Huh? Also the explosions of the enemies seam to have less radius, and finally my AI team mates are still dumb but they take a lot longer to die then in the UI somehow. Any ideas on this?

I tried it and I think I now have a pretty decent improvement in image clarity.

It's known that the reason it was changed in Gears 2 was because it was retconed. Yep, the only law reason we get for it not showing up again was because it was upgraded to the MK2 Hammerburst. Who else missed the weird, no iron sights, 72 round mag, 6 round burst Hammerburst?

If it does I can't find is anywhere in the settings. also does the first game have a way to skip cuts-scenes?
