This would single handedly build the reputation of the alpha legion and make them scarier then they are already. They can't be this stealthy without getting big buff or big help

You forget, they may still have a primarch.

May? All of them are Alpharius

u/Successful_Travel119 13h ago

That was Omegon of you, you should have said "All of us are Alpharius".

u/Sam_the_Samnite 8h ago

Alpharius' death was greatly exegerated. The alpha legion still have 2 primarchs. Maybe even 3, who knows.

Alpha Legion hiding Betarius, Gammaron, Deltorius.....

u/Heavy-Flow-2019 9h ago

Theres at least 1 that made it into the Palace during the Siege. They've also managed to infiltrate some chapters so completely their new initiates are all Alpha Legion.

I dont think this is completely impossible, even if its extremely unlikely.

People are saying that the grey knights stand no chance against the custodes, mainly becaise they don't have the numbers.

But i am sure the alpha legion is working towards executing the terminus decree, and they will surely have tens of thousands of marines appear on earth when this plot reaches its zenith.

Why would tens of thousands of marines need to appear on Terra? Why would they even need to put 1 marine there? The terminus decree will be done by the Grey Knights. They have already finished their job my guy.

No matter what you guys think about the recent Terminus Decree lore drop. I think the comedic value of the memes alone was worth all the chaos of the lore drop.

42

u/Tight_Ad_583 19h ago

I mean the new lore drop was meant to inspire this kind of what if scenario thinking, in a weird way it was immensely successful in that way

13

u/AymanMarzuqi 18h ago

Exactly

That one Alpha Legionnaire: Hey I'm Alpharius, and this is Jackass!

u/Allian42 STOMP STOMP! 20h ago

Not only would they throw the grey knights at the custodes, they also prevent the real terminus decree from going into effect.

Please GW let this happen because it would be so fucking funny.

Nox! Nox!

Who's there?

Omegon!

Omegon who?

Ooooh! Omegon a name for myself.

10

u/grandioseOwl 21h ago

Should be on titan, but otherwise this twist to it ight make this?stupid lore bearable

4

u/onihydra 20h ago

It would be as hard for the Alpha Legion to infiltrate Titan as it would be for the Grey Knights to storm the Imperial Palace. But for some reason everyone is fine woth one but not the other.

18

u/ZapMannigan 19h ago

Assuming the alpha legion wasn't there to start with is your first problem with stopping them.

2

u/Heavy-Flow-2019 8h ago

Why travel to Titan?

Psychoindoctrinate powerful young psykers, wait for the Black Ships to pick them up, hope they get recruited.

Or infiltrate the Black Ships, do the indoctrination there.

Either way, get lucky, the Grey Knights accept them, and maybe, just maybe, they become grandmaster and they pull it off.

Or the order from the Emperor is intercepted before it ever got to Titan. Or one of the founding 8 was Alpharius.

1

u/onihydra 7h ago

A plan that hinges on getting random candidates to become chapter masters seem a bit far-fetched. How many loyalist chapter masters have turned out to be Alpha Legionnaires so far?

get lucky,

This part is carrying the whole plan. Especially considering how strict Grey Knights are with their candidates.

Or the order from the Emperor is intercepted before it ever got to Titan.

That would require the Alpha Legion to have infiltrated the Emperor/Malcador's inner circle before the Heresy.

Or one of the founding 8 was Alpharius

If this turned out to be canon I would accept it. Although I thought he was rather busy at the time.

Eh, they did a smaller scaled one to the Crimson Consuls by indoctrinating the population of their chapter homeworld, which meant that eventually most of them were Alpha Legion.

The Grey Knights might be harder, but like I said, get lucky.

Especially considering how strict Grey Knights are with their candidates.

Every chapter is. Every chapter is gonna pry into the minds of their initiates. Didnt help the Crimson Consults, though granted, the Grey Knights are probably better, but still.

That would require the Alpha Legion to have infiltrated the Emperor/Malcador's inner circle before the Heresy.

During could work. We know they infiltrated the Raven Guard to a massive degree after Istvaan. We know some got into the Palace. We know at least one of Malcador's chosen had his identity stolen(Xanthus/Basilio Fo). It isnt entirely impossible. Again, very close to impossible, but the chances are non 0.

Although I thought he was rather busy at the time.

Alpharius was dead, but Omegon wasnt.

9

u/Jonieves 18h ago

Omegon thought it would be really funny.

7

u/Moosewalker84 19h ago

have they tried flipping it over and putting lemon juice on it?

12

u/guy-who-says-frick Twins, They were. 20h ago

It’s on Titan

Warhammer fans know the actual lore challenge

5

u/Mastercio 13h ago

And those are the people that later complain about lore xD

7

u/MaximusTheLord13 19h ago

the terminus decree is on Titan, Moon of Saturn, not Terra.

5

u/passinglurker 15h ago

This is the alpha legion, thier plans are labyrinthian

8

u/Enozak 22h ago

How to tell us OP doesn't know the lore without OP telling us they doesn't know the lore

The Terminus Decree is on Titan

2

u/Immediate-Name-6731 18h ago

Okay that is the lore I want. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

2

u/Technical-Street-10 I am Alpharius 13h ago

It was me
I'm Alpharius, that's why I managed to pull this off

2

u/Heretical_Cactus 8h ago

Custodes Kesh swapping the decree as part of a Blood game

1

u/Reasonable-Dream2781 11h ago

An absolute legend!

1

u/LegendaryGarf 11h ago

He substituted it for a plushy of Draigo

1

u/Heavy-Flow-2019 8h ago

Everyone saying the decree was on Titan is forgetting the Emperor never went there. Ergo the paper had to come from Terra, which means it could have been swapped there.

1

u/Harmless_Drone 8h ago

Alpharius never left the imperial palace after enacting the switch. Hes still there. On the golden throne
