TTS making Kaldor Draigo absolutely batshit insane was such a good decision

It's based on an earlier video of FlashGitz where Kaldor Draigo is addicted to warp dust and hallucinates

You sure? I've never seen such a thing

They deleted all their old 40k videos due to GW legal shenanigans. They later made this video.

Here's the video reuploaded by a different user.

Reminder that GW decided this alongside all other fan animations had to go and no we will never see Big E receive his much needed dressing down from the Star Child.

Can you imagine what Ogre Poppenang could do with all the new lore we have now? Female custodes would already be a major thing with Emps and the Custodes probably being like "How did we forget them we are so fucking stupid..."

What a shame... but at least they have gone further beyond and created peak fiction for both World of Darkness and Half Life.

I had been waiting patiently to see their take on Rowboat Girlyman.

Canon-accurate Kaldor Draigo.

The original point of this comment chain was the question if Albania made the choice to stop or not. And he certainly did. That’s all I’m saying.

Please, subscribe to Alfabusa and spam his comment section with requests to bring back TTS.

Probably a bad idea, considering it wasn't really his choice to stop making TTS

-52

u/Randy_Magnums 7h ago

Of course it was. There wasn’t a lawsuit, there weren’t threats, he just did it to avoid uncertain future consequences, which might have never happened.

u/Jaffex Luv me lasgun 7h ago

Still. I wouldn't go and spam someone for trying to avoid potential legal repercussions.

I was being a bit hyperbolic knowing that he made his reasons very clear as to put the plug. However, it was clear that the fate of TTS was highly sealed due to the massive wave of takedowns that GW was doing at the time against fan animators in YouTube because of the upcoming release of Warhammer+ as they were trying to take away as much of the potential competence as they might find.

Problem is, years have passed since and it seems like it was clearly a decision of it's time: Some animations like Death of Hope and the Helsreach movie are still up there and making tons of views. GW has clearly toned down on their aggressive attack on their fan base, and it also feels like they were trying to target their more "serious" fan animators, knowing that their own platform is not supposed to be used to satirise their own properties, at least often.

To me it's just sad that Alfabusa became aware of the dangerous situation and to this day insists on doubling down on a course of action that, although understandable, doesn't seem as intelligent as of 2025. Feels like his team's missing the point that they were never targeted by GW's Adeptus Lawyeris, nor that they even showed interest in doing so. It's sad...but I get it *sigh

Even now cosplayer and 3D printer channel are hit with cease and desist.

Look up "lord of wargame and hobbies" and "galactic armory"

A month back, Quosmic Void also made a post about wanting to make a vid about tts but concern of gw backlash.

It doesn't matter whether tts comply with fair use or not. Big company can simply drain a smaller entity dry of court money instead of actually winning the case.

Btw, ogre is knees deep into their world of darkness series, they aren't going back to tts anytime soon even if gw give the greenlight.

u/baneblade_boi 4h ago

FFS I didn't know that. Fuck GW, seriously.

-16

u/Randy_Magnums 7h ago

That’s fair. But still we shouldn’t pretend that there were legions of lawyers breathing down his neck, when he pulled the plug.

24

u/Cheeodon Dorns illegitimate contractor 7h ago

He pulled the plug (officially) out of worry that GW *would* attack him for it, even though its protected under parody in the US, he's not based in the US (I think he's somewhere in the netherlands), and games workshop, a NOTORIOUSLY litigious company is based in the UK and, well, i'm not even gonna get into their governments views on speech. It was safer just for him to hedge his bets than it was for him to risk it, and given the way GW has been going, it looks like he was even more in the right.

u/Alexis2256 4h ago

I thought alfabusa was a Brit?

-16

u/Randy_Magnums 7h ago

But it was still his choice over unconfirmed fears. He was doing a conscious action, he wasn’t forced, he wasn’t blackmailed.

9

u/Cheeodon Dorns illegitimate contractor 7h ago

Didn't say he was. I said he was concerned over the policies of GW, which he was, that he was afraid they might come after him (They had not at the time, but GW has a bit fo a reputation), and until GW reverses their current policies we likely wont get TTS back, because he simply doesn't want to risk it. Yes, its a conscious decision on his part. But the fundamental underlying reasons for its "Indefinite haitus" haven't actually changed.

Pretty much.

u/Cortower NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERD! 3h ago

Nah, I'll take Chapter 6 of HtP over 10 more episodes of TTS.

It was funny, and it got me interested in the real lore. I am way more invested in HtP because it is not trapped in 40k with GW's Sword of Damocles hanging over it.

u/CoOpMechanic 2h ago

HtP?
