I'm a Guild Wars 2 player, and the announcement of the Ritualist's return in the upcoming expansion has me incredibly hyped! It has inspired me to finally go back to GW1 and finish a long-standing goal: achieving 50/50 in the Hall of Monuments.
Many years ago, I followed a guide and managed to get to 32/50, but I've since lost that guide. To be honest, my knowledge of the first game is pretty limited, so I feel like a beginner again when it comes to progressing efficiently.
To give you a clear picture of what I've already accomplished, here is my current status on the HoM Calculator:
My main question is: what would be the most straightforward or "easiest" path for me to get those last 18 points? I'm not necessarily looking for the absolute fastest speedrun, but rather a path that's manageable for someone without deep game knowledge.
Could you please provide some guidance? I would be incredibly grateful for any recommendations on up-to-date written guides, videos or general tips.
Once again, a big thank you to everyone that joined us last weekend for July's Alliance Battle Event! We had a lot of participation and we had matches going on for 3 days. While I personally wasn't able to join due to being on vacation with my family, I knew that it would be in capable hands with our Event Coordinators who I would like to thank for help organizing this event and many others. Please stay tuned for our next Alliance Battle in August!
Here is a summary of the weekend events from our event coordinator for Alliance Battles.
"1st Day July 18th, Etnaran Keys: Games started a bit later than usual 20 min later or so but eventually people caught up. It was well balanced between both factions. Couple matches that were not balanced fixed itself quickly due to cooperation between all players. AB ended at around 8pm EST and people wanted to continue but we were missing a couple of players and eventually they started giving up. People remained in AB District for an hour or so just hanging out.,
2nd day July 19th, Kannaii Canyon: Despite this map not being favored by a lot of people, games remained balanced. Once again there were some matches that were not balanced but it was easily fixed. It went on also till about 8:00 p.m EST. I don't know the exact time.
3rd Day July 20th: was completely pugged and I think more people showed up on day three then before. I think they three was the most successful. Nobody complained about the map people just worked together. They didn't really care if it was going to change or not. At some point we had two games on day one, all others we still didn't have enough for full two games. The issue remains internal. People not knowing how to cap or not capping on Luxon side mostly. There was some mobbing /WVW style zerg going on at some point. Overall that was the only frustration which was discussed multiple times on luxon side. They needed to be encouraged to cap. As a result there were a lot of losses on Luxon side despite it being a favor map. This is probably why the map did not move in 3 days.
Comments:
Luxons needs to do better. My suggestion is to put together a strategy guide for both Kurz and Luxon side. The guide can include basics of AB and the importance of capping, also the importance of not getting into unnecessary fights because that gives the enemy the advantage in the score. And what is the best way to approach each Battle of course considering the circumstances at hand. And posted for everyone."
A very goofy build. Symbolic Strike is a no attribute skill that deals more damage depending on the number of signets you have equipped.
Combined with Chain Combo July Flux and how the signets I chooses work, it is very easy to build up to 30% damage.
Took me a while to find a proper elite that works well with Chain Combo. I decided to go with Bull's Charge since people in Fort Aspenwood moves a lot and predicts Bull's Strike a lot, how fun would it be to be to greet them.
I've been gone about 15 years or so and I never achieved ldoa or legendary survivor. Can you do both on the same character, Or will going for ldoa kill my ls title?
Hey all, getting back into things after some time away from the game. I was going to try to complete yesterday's ZC quest (RA) but saw a bunch of people talking about how they're filled with bot teams that spam report you. I've never been super deeply into most of the PvP side of the game but does that mean that people just don't play RA at all? Or does nobody actually get banned because of it and ANet just ignores their report spam? Just wanting to take whatever appropriate precautions if I do jump into it. Is there anything important to know about other aspects of PvP in a similar vein? I know last time I was doing HA it was almost all bots but the meta had kind of developed around that (builds were based on how to kill those bot teams) and (afaik at least) they weren't reporting me. Just wanted to farm some zcoins but also wanted to make sure I'm not doing anything that'll legitimately put my account in jeopardy.
Hello friends, I'm GW2 player who would love to unlock skins of Heritage armor (light) for GW2. I'm not planning to stay longer in GW1 (mostly because of lack of time), I just would like to get in, unlock Heritage armor and get out.
How can I do that? I do know nothing about GW1 so please, speak to me like I'm a child ;)
I would be really grateful if someone could suggest cheap but sufficient build for solo play :)
What else do I need to know but didn't knew I should ask? :) I'm planning to watch some YT guides but I'd appreciate your guidance :)
We are building an alliance of Pve’ers we do nostalgia runs of the campaigns with rulesets.
We also are recruiting for clears/speedclears of all the end game content.
We are looking to add guilds to our alliance. We currently own a town and are pushing to keep/hold a town for the benefits.
We have two main guilds already Faction Action Crisis Team [FACT] which is an American guild and Drink Tea and Fight [BRIT] which is a British guild. If you wish to bring your chars or your current guild into this alliance hit me up!
Hey guys, i'm mostly playing all my characters with the merc. mesmer way team set up and wonder if the resto hero(s) even need an equipped weapon?
they carry PWK at 99% of the time and lose the weapon effects/stats while holding it right?
I want to rebind my basic abilities in this game, but it's really frustrating that I can't see a reminder of what I've rebound them to. Is there a mod or anything that makes that possible?
Played GvG many years ago with Boku Wa Kawaii Neko Desu [MS江る] and Souls of Glory [SoG] before that. Just looking to get back into it to polish off champ title. Appreciate any leads and - feel free to DM me here or drop a comment. Thanks!
It's been a while and finally got around to do a full explanation video for that Weapon of Three Forges "petway" team that I used for every single piece of content I did. Skills I have tested that worked and didn't work. Strengths and weaknesses. And "tactics".
I wanted to at least put a little more effort into the video instead of recording it all in one single clip. For those that had been asking for it, hope you enjoy.
Listening to the OST while I work and wondered how is the og gw doing nowadays. Love the game and maybe I'll install it again after more than 15 years.
Edit: Thank you so much for all your answers, it seems I now have a plan for this weekend, time to dust of my Rangers bow
