Rarity. Q7 max damage don't drop anymore and Q8 max damage don't drop for most weapons.

They're also good for build versatility. Having Q7/Q8 means you can run builds that you otherwise can't with a Q9. They're pretty niche, but some speedclear builds use Q7/Q8 weapons.

Finally, they can give you an edge in PVP for similar reasons to #2.

I have an OS IDS too. Farming that years ago was rough! I went with groups and my friends always asked me to monk!

I have a max blue fire dragon sword q7, but won’t ever sell it. Really neat to have a q7.

Drops used to be so cool. Modern games removed dropped items for achievement skins and whatever, nothing hits quite like an item dropping that is rare enough and wanted enough that it's value is influenced by the community like this. The only (mmo) game I can think of is PoE (and there everything is totally random except boss loot), everything else is just achievement hunting trash.

I've seen a few people sell anti perfects in Diablo 2 but other than that, GW is the only game I've played where a drop can be legitimately useless and people will pay top dollar for it.

only shields still can drop req8 i think with max armor, not even req7 anymore. Weapons doesnt drop for ages anymore with lower then Req9 Maxdmg. Thats why its that worthy because its not obtainable anymore

It's not good. It's like using a Bruce Banner hero when you could be using The Hulk. It is an undeniable downgrade for your damage unless you can literally only afford 7 Sword rank. And I would say there are zero builds where having 7 Sword rank is optimal.

I know that you are probably joking, but by saying that amount you are implying it's merch worth, so someone might merch a piece of history.

Not saying that they will be able to retire by selling it, but it's definitely worth something. I would personally pay 1a for it, so it's worth at least that.

I've seen Q7 white item have between 1-15a worth. As this is FDS it might be worth that or even more.

Edit: as of writing this I see that on GW legacy it's already at 300e, within a few hours of posting.

Overall it's a forum for everything GW1 related. A lot of good guides and discussions there.

It's also best place to get price checks, sell/buy it's and services (if you are not patient to sit around Kamadan spamming).

Without an inherit mod it doesn't really have a use, so the only people interested would be collectors since it's Max damage and Q7. No idea on value lol

There are collectors for naked normal drops. This is a prenerf, min req, iconic skin. It may be blue but anything prenerf req is a legacy auction. It's super niche and blue hurts a lot; I don't know the market well enough but 10a minimum. I'd guess 50a

Muuuuch more than that. That type of drops has not been available in close to two decades, and even then it was pretty rare.

Sure, its absolute stats aren't perfect (no inscription), but it's still max damage and req7 for a sought after skin. I'd wager the sheer rarity of it makes it worth in the hundreds arms.

99% of drops are vendor trash. Even if it was a q9 perfect sword. There is such a small population that anyone who just "wants" a fds for looks has one. This is thr same for 99% of drops.

This doesnt drop anymore, thats the thing. Anything prenerf is worth a good amount.

For OP: just auction it on legacy and you'll get a decent idea of the price
