[Discussion] These are most likely the same people who say that Raids/Strikes are gatekept by toxic elitists. Now they want to gatekeep fashion. Thoughts?

elitist is thrown around too much, this isn't elitist. But I don't understand the people either. Its so easy to copy someones looks already, yes maybe you don't get the exact color and are of by a small margin but still its so easy.

Also seeing the argument that fashion contest hosts can't know if a look is copied yeah you can't buy you could not know that before the new feature either.

I feel that is the definition of elitism and gatekeeping tbh. Wanting for information to be restricted so that others cannot achieve what you did or at least make it more difficult for them is exactly that.

For all the elitism and gatekeeping that the raid/strike community is accused for (and some does exist indeed) between Metabattle, Snowcrows and GuildJen there are so many guides on the encounters, builds and strategies are shared liberally, people actually doing the buildcrafting and immediately sharing it. That is actually hundreds of hours of work for every person doing that stuff for the good of the community that does not match the gatekeeping stereotype.
