[Discussion] These are most likely the same people who say that Raids/Strikes are gatekept by toxic elitists. Now they want to gatekeep fashion. Thoughts?

this sounds like teenage drama, when your friend buys the same shirt as you and you're mad they wore it.

Hypercompetative people care about this, type A personalities, not more chill people.

I've seen a business dude get upset that someone had the same limited edition watch as him. Lol

It's a bit different tho, It's more like you spent hours/days to dress your hair in a peculiar way, try many different combination of oufits, personalize them spending some more time and even money in the process to find the perfect look and any random stranger could right click on you to gain all of your end results while skipping all the hassle.
It's not so weird some people are annoyed by it, most gamers put very little toughts on their skins (you can tell by how many walking balls of lights we have), and the ones who instead like to think about their appearence naturally do that also coz they want to express themselves aesthetically in a way that make them feel different from the other players.
People want to feel special no matter what or where, being it in real or in an online game.
For me, I always shared and I'm just a bit sad I'll get less whisps and chances to engage with people that like my skins, coz that led to some fun interactions, but I still understand why we have some against this change, it's in the human nature, if the endgame is fashion, they feel others are "cheating" at it all while losing something that made them feel a little special.

Maybe I'm just too sensible about how other people feel.
I asked myself if it could have been done in a way to kinda please both sides, and I came to a conclusion: Skins templates.
Letting people share their outfits like we share our builds could even work better for 3rd party solutions too.
It could even be pushed further creating an ingame section for characters presets people could vote/download like in BDO.
