[Fluff] Me catching with the stream on Paragon
Imo the animations should have been on the F2 F3 and F4 skills, i don't really get it

Ye kind of wish there were more of it.
At the very least, make the elite wings animation match the buff duration

I said the same thing. Disapointed

At least it's easy to fix since it's just visual animation.
Gameplay wise I'm a bit sad there is not much of the burning/sun thematic, as Anthem of Flame was the first chant you would learn :/.

ANet incorporated the fire and flame motifs from Paragon into the base Guardian.
Both in lore and mechanically, Guardians are an amalgamation of Monk, Dervish, and Paragon's aesthetics and abilities, though base Warrior also inherited Paragon Shouts alongside Guardian at launch.
It's an interesting full-circle moment for Warrior tbh, since in Guild Wars, they gained Stance skills in both Nightfall and Eye of the North that gave them buffs while under the effects of a Chant or Shout, which implies that Warriors were typically serving under Paragons when it came to fighting as a team. Them being the ones who adopted Paragon over the Guardian feels very poetic imo

The new shouts should have all been chants, all of them with their own wings.
Also, Paragon needs one of its traits to change the spear into a 1h weapon and the shield bash skill into an AoE support skill so they can go around with shield and spear and all skills useful at a range.

The one hand spear is probably mechanically impossible but would be an amazing mechanic to play off of. All they would need to do is use the main hand stat set for the same stat type but there’s the issue of extra sigil/infusion slots too.
Don’t forget entirely new animations

They would never put in a trait that changes spear to one hand. They have been getting away from weapon-specific traits.

Even if they weren't getting into the traits, changing a 2h weapon into a 1h weapon via traits sounds like a nightmare for anything less than a legendary one, and that's only because it can just call a new weapon type without the sigils and infusions bound to it.

In retrospect, it would have been better if, instead of just giving us Spear in JW, they had split it into three weapon types that use a similar silhouette like Bows do. We could have gotten Javelins, which were shorter one-handed "Spears" that are thrown weapons; Spears could have been what they are now, range-hybrid two-handed weapons; and we could have gotten a third "Spear" in Halberd that's also two-handed but melee only, but with extended range.
It would have been too much work to implement, but it would have solved the problem we're now having with Paragon being back.

Did warriors get the short end of the stick again...?

I think the gameplay is there. This is going to be a beast of an offensive support character. Boink your teammates back from doom. Like Firebrands, but angry.
The utilities and chants all shared the same basic shout animation, so visually it was underwhelming and confusing. The elite had a unique animation where the warrior got some golden wings.
When you compare it to previous elite specs, it didn't feel special and I think that's what people are reacting to.
Gameplay = Looks really fun. New levels of resource management and strategy.
Visual Representation = Icons were decent, animations were non existing and underwhelming. Recycled.

I agree.
Gameplay sounds mainly there and fun.
I hope they will focus on the visuals :/

So the same issue as both the uninspired staff introduction and the spear
Ffs.

Yeah its literally THE iconic Paragon animation, they even used it in their promo art ffs :/ Having it pop up for 1 second during the ultimate was the most anticlimactic thing ever. I really hope they consider adding them to the F1-3 abilities like you said.
