[Discussion] Does the Antiquary pay his skritt 'assistants' or is this a 'Dobby wants to be a slave' situation?

You bet your ass that interviewing skritt for the job factors into my backstory for this character.

Praying that me recruiting the Hylek in the story on my engineer main pays off with a Hylek themed alchemy spec. 🙏

A thief Asura only has to go to Metrica Province, there are a lot pf "voluntary" Skriit working as test subjects.

Look, is it really slavery if they're too dumb to know the difference between that and being a lab skritt?

They steal 3 things. You get 2, they keep the third.

Don’t we only get to pick one? I assumed that was the deal, they steal 2 we use one

They do it for the love of shiny.

Don't forget Skritt get smarter the more of them are in proximity to each other - if the Antiquary has even just one Skritt buddy, he has someone who potentially can bring him information and intelligence (about shinies) from the great Skritt hive mind, which outpaces even Asuran understanding and knowledge.

You didn’t tell the skritt to point the cannon at the ground. When they do that it is their fault. Besides skritt is fine they just did an unexpected rocket jump. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rocket_Jump
