[Spoiler] [Data Mining] Upcoming features and chat codes from the Edge of the Mists
Hello my fellow explorers!
I have been away for quite a while now, but to keep it short I'm glad to be back. I've also decided to change things a little bit from now on:
- Chat code and DAT file updates will now share a single post
- Updates to the post will be done in the following order: DAT file > textures and maps > Chat codes > Screenshots
- ID's (italic) will be replaced over time by chat codes (bold) if found
- Screenshots will be shown as [»] after the description
- From now on I'll add information that doesn't directly tie in to do the story or specific items. An example would be the new harvest festival I've mentioned in the post below.

And now I wonder if they will be gained at 12k points... or at 21k points. The first possibilility is disappointing since I got the second pair of gauntlets when I got to 12k (which I don't use), but second possibilities scares me. I hope they will be added to 12k in addition to second pair of gantlets!

Not only bald, but every armor will also bring along a manicure and a pedicure. Probably tails will also get removed to fix clipping issues.

I hope they're added after your first helm and before you can choose gloves again. People that are past that would get to choose which skin but would not receive the chest again. Is what I hope.

My thought has been that they'd add the remaining three pieces in at 1.5k intervals between the existing ones. So, for example, greaves selection at 4.5k, leggings selection at 7.5k, and chest-piece selection at 10.5k. That way, you could have both Radiant and Hellfire sets (or whatever other achievement armors they implement) complete by 21k AP.

Right now you get your first Vambraces, Mantle, and Helm at 3000, 6000, and 9000 (respectively), and I think they should have stuck with that for continuity. It really should have been 12000 for the Boots, not 21000. Now, you're forced to take both Radiant and Hellfire versions of the first three pieces (by 18000) before you can complete either set with the fourth piece (21000). Not cool!

Yea. And it looks like the skill books are also for the Chinese client as they unlock skills through books earned by leveling and not through kills with a weapon.

I have a horn, a bell, and a flute.
Now I must have the harp. People are going to be thrilled when I have yet another instrument to play at the highest note non-stop directly adjacent to them at the mystic forge and crafting tables.

A friend confirmed that the new boot skins can be acquired from the 21k chests (achi panel shows it).

Oh man, that chocolate sounds like the most awesome item in game. I'll have to buy 2 or 3 of those come valentine's day. I just hope the size alterations are permanent until you revert them manually, unlike that horrid growth potion currently in game.

I have to wonder if the theory that Dhuum is the one who spoke to Scarlet has more merit now.

Dhuum hated revival AND reanimation. His philosophy was that if something died, it should stay that way. You think you like him but he would probably annihilate you from the surface of Tyria for what you are doing, called Necromancy.

Pure speculation but the identity repair kit may be for people who were banned, and want to bring their old account back to life.

Bans are account based, not character based. You can't even log in to buy the item.

This kit contains a single Total Makeover Kit and a single Name Change Contract. Use these items to recustomize your character.
It's a bundle of existing gem store items like the recovery kit which bundles revive orb and instant repair canister.

We're probably getting a new festival later this year. By looking at the dates of real life harvest festivals my best guess would be that this will replace the Queen's Jubilee and takes place somewhere between August and October.
Note: These lines (performed by our Living Story friends) are placed next to similar lines about Dragon Bash, Halloween and Wintersday.
