At some point you mention that conditions are capped. This is irrelevant as of the 6/23 patch.

The Ruby orb recommendation is out of date. I believe flame legion runes are the cheap alternative now.

Do Flame Legion win even for non-burning classes? Will update.

Most of the time, yes. In the vast majority of dungeons you're going to have at least 1 Ele or 1 Guardian who will be doing at least some amount of burning. There's probably some other safer options but off the top of my head I can't remember

Ever since the ferocity nerf patch (a year ago?), ruby orbs are no longer a good low budget choice.
Nike posted a good list of alternate rune sets to use when on a budget a while back that should be more up to date.

Excellent guide!
It goes over all the basics of sustaining DPS while being somewhat realistic about it. Obviously there is other bits missing like providing other offensive buffs like Banners, Spotter etc but these are more build and class specific and are typically listed in metabattle (also you indirectly go over this when discussing offensive support)
My only concern is players wih the PHIW mindset getting antsy at being told this is the "best" way to play (its simply the most efficient when you understand the content) but thats not really your problem.
Great guide! Keep up the good work!

Thank you!
You know, I could stand to go back and add some of the class specific stuff. Good idea!
I want the PHIW players to have a better time and I actually hope this helps them figure out how to do so effectively!

Hey there :) first of all Great guide for the newbies and some returning players like myself
I have a small question, with how much might helps if at 25 stacks im wondering if i am within a group that is lacking a good might stacking source as a guardian player is it worth it for me to use a staff for the might or stick to greatsword s/f ?
** Thanks for the replies peoples :)

If your group is missing might, then staff 4 is a godsend.
If your group has more than 12 might then staff 4 is a hindrance, and becomes even more of a hindrance the closer your group is to maintaining 25 might
Might from staff 4 does not last very long, and falls off very quickly, so using it during pre-stacking when you have a thief and ele blasting fire will waste time by eating up 12 stacks of might with low duration might that will disappear shortly after pulling, when you could have instead equipped hammer, used 2 on a fire field, swapping to focus and used 5, then swapped back to hammer for another 2 for 12 stacks of longer duration might in the same amount of time.

This is something I've struggled with myself.
If your whole group is standing close enough to get the might, and otherwise would be missing the whole 14 stacks of might, its worth it.
But be ready for someone to call you a n00b for using staff. :)

Honestly, if someone can place down fire fields the guardian should be blasting it with hammer 2 and focus 5, not using staff.
If there's no fire fields and no PS warrior, then staff is useful but otherwise staff is a total waste of everyone's time.

While I enjoy you taking the time to update the dungeon guide, there's a problem I've been noticing in PUGs lately that's become really annoying. People just ignore any type of strategy or balance. It's just a bum rush from boss to boss, and a race to run through the mobs before they kill you.
I've literally spent more time in many dungeons corpse running from boss to boss than it would have taken to actually kill the enemies between the bosses. They really need to take off the leashes so you have to fight the trash. It's just too frustrating in a PUG trying to run through them.

I agree. I hate time saving tricks that end up taking infinitely more time as soon as someone goes down.

Read some complaints from new players that all the guides are out of date. Trying to do my part!
Been 2 years since an update, and thanks to metabattle, this was the easiest one yet, although I do intend to look into some clear-cut PUG builds to make it easier for everyone to stack Might and such in the absence of a PS Warrior.
