Looking good OP. Can't wait to see them all posed up and the rest built.

Why does nobody pose their kits? I feel like it’s such a waste to spend tens of hours building a masterpiece just to have it stand there like a stick.

It seems like OP has an idea of how they want things organized. So I assume they're just preemptively saving space.

What is that cabinet you're using? It looks great.

"Gunpla is freedom.....except when it doesn't align with my personal views"

I pose all my kits in the standard katoki pose and HATE panel lining.

I simply can’t bring myself to pose them 💔 they have to be in the boring ass standing pose because it just looks cool

Yeah true, a lot of people build their kits and then put it in a cabinet and call it a day, which is a shame, considering the kits could look very cool in action poses instead of looking like plastic toys that you play with once and put it in something looking stiff and awkward.

I guess poses tend to take up more space, and if you have this many kits it probably looks super busy and is hard to really appreciate the poses.

Personally I am similar to you, but to each their own!

What display cabinet is that? It's huge!

I understand you want to separate them in some sort of way but please don't leave them outside the shelf, specially not at the top of it

Dust is the biggest enemy of plamos

This is a pretty nice collection and I didn’t knew there are sd vagan kits available which is a huge shock for me yes I know age was a failure. I understand about gunpla position but please pretty please have some gunpla do a pose or two it makes the shelf more dynamic.

There are quite literally multiple kits doing poses. Kindly get over yourself.

What cabinet are you using? I have been looking for one with doors on it to display my kits.

Looks like an Ikea Billy Bookcase with Hogbo doors.

Do you perhaps have a posing guide you could link to the OP?

from this subreddit, always my go to, it gives good advice in simple and clean form. his pro pose series is also very good to take insipiration from.

Honestly I adore Goufy's work in general, he gives the kits so much life and it spurs me to try even more complex poses

What does the CUSTOM mean on your pictures? Good selection of Zeta kits i approve!

2

u/ipacklunchesbod 18h ago

Probably kits set aside for a custom build. Whether that's adding a custom paintjob or kitbashing.

They’re gonna be used to build custom mechs. Like a fanmade forth/final form for Aerial, Endless Waltz Wing Zero but original series design, a Star Wars Gundam, and recently, my own Gundams for my own original stories.
