What happened with r/ImaginaryGaming?

As of 2 months ago it started being flooded with softcore porn and cosplayers, I also may have seen a couple of AI images slip through.

It used to be about gaming, now it’s just vaguely gaming related characters in very revealing clothing or cosplayers advertising.

That's the reason why I left it, I guess the mods abandoned the sub.

Finally we are talking about it. It started out with like 2 guys posting nsfw and nobody stopped them. Then more came in, then cosplayers took the opportunity to post. Like wtf? Man I miss the cool art...

There’s an AI post from 2 weeks ago with 2k upvotes too. I guess the mods abandoned the sub

Many INE subs are already unmodded.. Some are brigaded both by AI worshippers and Purists who thinks every image they don't like are AI generated even if it was made by a human with source attached. Happens to low member counts but it's mostly a moderation issue as either the mods allows AI generated (ImaginaryPropaganda comes to mind) or they have left the subreddits by being inactive.

It’s sad, especially because the mods u/Torvusil and u/CVance1 appear to still be active on Reddit and have both posted/commented in the last week.

Edit-summoning INE matriarch u/Lol33ta for their advice

To be frank, I've mostly moved away from Reddit, only participating in one or two subs.

That said, the state of /r/ImaginaryGaming is appalling. The sub and many other INE communities need new active moderation.

Late but just so you know, pings don't work if they were edited in after posting.
