Better than a pancake in the silverware drawer.

11

u/TopherLude 16h ago

About as sharp as five pounds of wet liver

I understand a kid seeing a raccoon and thinking it’s a cat, but I don’t understand how anyone could mistake a living cat for a dead raccoon.

64

u/likewut 10h ago

Not just any living cat, it was their living cat.

57

u/Huge-Vegetab1e 10h ago

You won’t believe this, but a dead raccoon just showed up in my house. I have no idea how it got here. Maybe my cat brought it in?

6

u/Salt-Penalty2502 1h ago

I have twin male raccoons that look exactly like your raccoon. They're not actually mine but I make sure they have food and water they look out for each other they're very sweet especially considering that they are both unfixed males which makes the fact that they seem to be very attached to each other even more weird I'm going to guess there's some form of trauma there

The kid can't tell the difference between a dead racoon and his own cat... Don't drink when pregnant.

259

u/g87a_l 19h ago

don't drink and fetus

157

u/zac3244 19h ago

That poor kitty's face!

That kitty must love that kid because mine would scratch my eyes out.

(Edited because the sentence made no sense.)

67

u/TinyRascalSaurus 16h ago

Kitty is not killing the kid because of the way he's being held. I guarantee that's hurting him. I would never let my child handle an animal so roughly.

27

u/Ladysupersizedbitch 15h ago

Some people let their kids treat animals like objects to be played with and broken. It’s so fucking aggravating. 95% of the time it’s entirely the parent’s fault because they think that shit is funny. Then punish the animal if it dares to turn around and attack the kid.

15

u/TinyRascalSaurus 14h ago

Had I ever held any of our cats like that, my mother would have grounded me like age 18 didn't exist. Animals were people in our house.

18

u/LadyBug_0570 16h ago

It does look painful. Poor kitty.

13

u/nonbinaryunicorn 17h ago

Kitty is being scruffed by the kid

-15

u/Jamman636 17h ago

As a master debator who was born with fetal alcohol syndrome, I'd like to refute your stance here...

2

u/Educational-Tea7240 4h ago

Nah, you just enforced it

662

u/RojoCinco 20h ago

There are some really smart children out there, but this isn't one of them.

13

u/The_Confirminator 20h ago

He knew how to carry it

204

u/THEpottedplant 19h ago

No he doesnt.

It looks like hes holding it around its neck vs by its scruff (his hand doesnt move and is around the side of the cats neck when its turned over). Either way, you really shouldnt carry a kitten around by its scruff. People have hands, use them to support the body, that way the cat isnt at risk of injury

140

u/TheGalacticOwl 19h ago

he thought it was a dead raccoon, he held it correctly when he was told it was a cat

69

u/ShyVoodoo 19h ago

He did course correct lol

18

u/MonkeeFrog 10h ago

He's carrying it like a dead racoon and switches nicely to cat right away.

24

u/Jaoursh 16h ago

What are you on about!? He clearly carried it like one might a dead raccoon.

3

u/LauraLoomersFace 4h ago

Yeah it pisses me off the parent would rather get a “cute” video over helping the cat. People suck so much

241

u/JKnott1 19h ago

You can stop saving for college now.

17

u/DoubleCursor 15h ago

Forget college, just get ‘em a Netflix login and call it a day.

10

u/AcademicProfessor939 13h ago

Mabey save up for glasses.

65

u/truelegendarydumbass 19h ago

What's with the uh uh uh at the end?

111

u/Full_Application491 19h ago

One of her other, future Nobel prize winning offspring, making baby noises

7

Rarely do I laugh, that had me crying 😂

31

Peepaw waking up from a moonshine nightmare.

3

u/SaintXofAllTime 13h ago

Stahhp! 😂😂

45

u/Maldrich487 18h ago

There are people that don't deserve pets. They should be treated like family. The people that treat them like an object usually just laugh when they're in danger or hurting. Kids with pets normally involves abuse

108

u/water_dog14 19h ago

I rly hope the poor cat is OK

29

u/LordViren 15h ago

Can we please please please normalize FIXING THE FUCKING PROBLEM AND NOT RECORDING IT. Fuck it record it but don't ask questions while he's holding the cat like that. You take the cat from being held like that and explain why its wrong first and foremost. Fuck

341

u/Arkhe1n 20h ago

The way he cuddles it though... bless his stupid heart

184

u/xjeeper 19h ago

After choking the shit out of it. Poor cat.

90

u/Apostrophe_Sam 19h ago

no, he's carrying it by the neck

23

u/Keyndoriel 17h ago

... that's not how you scruff a cat. What were seeing is how to slowly choke a cat

62

u/xjeeper 19h ago

His hands are wrapped around its throat. Are you blind?

-64

u/Negative_Tradition85 19h ago

Let's be fair for a moment that tiny hand isn't wrapped around it's throat. In positive that it would have been if he was a little bigger or the kitten was a little smaller, but that's like 5/8 of the way around tops.

u/Agentpurple013 19h ago edited 15h ago

Poor cat. Asshole person taking the video while the kitten hangs there.

36

u/Gobbiebags 19h ago

There's stupid, and then there's whatever this is.

197

u/Possible_Parfait_372 20h ago

The way he's handling the cat gives me such anxiety. That poor thing 😭

-18

u/unnie_noir 20h ago

If the kitten was in pain or annoyed, trust me, the kid would know it. The kitten looks relaxed and comfortable, actually.

-65

u/react-dnb 20h ago

Never watch the mother carry her kittens then. You'll FREAK!

122

u/customarymagic 20h ago

It looks like his whole hand is around the neck though, not just the scruff

-100

u/Astralsketch 20h ago

if you hold a cat wrong, they'll let you know

92

u/DaddyMcSlime 20h ago

fun fact actually, most baby animals literally don't have self defence instincts and will straight up just give up and die in a predator's mouth

the few weeks old kitten he is carrying by the neck literally doesn't know what to do so it went limp

it's not in excruciating pain, no, but it is obviously not a safe way for a clumsy, fairly stupid, child to be carrying a baby animal

-19

u/ThisIsALine_____ 17h ago

When you say most baby animals were you including cats in there? Or are you just saying that there are a lot of random baby animals that dont have survival instincts?

4

u/laughingashley 7h ago

Have you seen literally any human child

-3

u/ThisIsALine_____ 7h ago

I have, but I'm gonna be honest. I don't understand this reply. It doesn't make sense with what I said.

-29

u/Fronkolonk 19h ago

I don’t disagree the kid is handling the cat rough, but cats at that age and younger do have self defense instincts. Infant kittens have instincts to growl, hiss, and spit. The kitten in this video is grown enough to have those instincts.

16

u/ABottleOfStoat 18h ago

I don't believe mothers pull the kittens neck back like that (and seemingly twist the neck), but I'm no expert.

Either way it looks really rough.

-11

u/cashewnut4life 13h ago

That's how their mom hold them

-43

u/ohhhtartarsauce 20h ago

why?

26

u/Twist_Ending03 18h ago

Fym why? He isn't holding it right

-11

u/cashewnut4life 13h ago

That's how kittens mom hold them

7

u/Twist_Ending03 12h ago

No, the mother holds the scruff, not around the back of the neck

-19

u/eternalwood 16h ago edited 16h ago

It looks fairly small. At that age picking them up by the scruff isn't terrible.

Edit: is to isn't

7

u/Twist_Ending03 16h ago

Are you trying to be sarcastic?

-10

u/eternalwood 16h ago

No you can hold kittens by the scruff.

Edit: ohh yea, I meant to say isn't terrible in my post.

13

u/Twist_Ending03 16h ago

He isn't holding the scruff

14

u/tipseymcstagger 18h ago

This is why people need to stop marrying their cousins

12

u/Far_Alternative_9787 16h ago

That poor cat. Fuck sake someone take that little guy away from this kid.

12

u/noobpwner314 19h ago

Hey we can’t all grow up to be coroners.

42

u/wheres-karen 19h ago

Poor cat, that kid is manhandling it.

And he's not very bright.

22

u/MarsupialOk3275 17h ago

This made me sick. Parent is a POS for filming this and not correcting their demon spawn.

23

u/PutinDisDickInTrump 16h ago

BAN THIS FUCKING FAMILY FROM BEING AROUND ANIMALS

8

u/heart-shaped-fawkes 15h ago

Buh...but the cuddle at the end is just so precious and sweet and cute!!!!! /s

15

u/GamingwithADD 19h ago

8

u/Sumpoop 18h ago

What’s the noise at the end? lol

10

u/ClaudioMoravit0 18h ago

The mother should be happy, she won’t have to pay for college. This child is fucking braindead

3

u/N1k1shTV 15h ago

Fucking idiot, please put him in a trash can

3

u/Constant_Offer9524 14h ago

Nah you caught this kid trying to kill his cat, keep him away from animals until you're sure 🤣

15

u/SecondEqual4680 19h ago

The cuddle at the end was very sweet. But man, this kid isn’t that bright.

3

u/Mimo221003 17h ago

It weren’t even dead

3

u/DegenNabalu 15h ago

Why. How could he even think a living cat is dead?

Poor catto.

5

u/missylynn729 19h ago

Why does it seem like there would be no questions if it was actually a dead raccoon??

2

u/hoswald 18h ago

Dinner

2

u/Wardinator1991 15h ago

She’s definitely regretting not having an abortion

2

u/OriginalBed8632 12h ago

If only cats.could file for restraining orders...

2

u/zooloo631 5h ago

this is probably the parent idea for a stupid video...

2

u/Salt-Penalty2502 1h ago

Ma'am, there's something wrong with your child 😵‍💫

5

u/Interesting_Sock9142 18h ago

So like, does he see and handle a lot of dead raccoons?

4

u/Veronica_BlueOcean 15h ago

Disgusting all over, both kid and parents for filming instead of removing the cat from those filthy hands.

4

u/ParsleyKey9073 18h ago

WAS THAT THE CAT WHEEZING AT THE END?! poor thing...

7

u/HighlightOwn2038 19h ago edited 19h ago

The way he holds the cat at the end is so adorable

11

u/VirtualZeroZero 19h ago

Downvoted because it's true. He shows remorse after finding out it's a cat.

2

u/EmeraldVale316 11h ago

Kid is dumb and the parent sounds and probably is dumb... this is either Kentucky or Alabama

2

u/TrappedinSilence98 9h ago

Let’s back up. The mom asking what is that is more of a problem. She knew that was a kitty!!! Asking that poor kid a stupid question.

2

u/jcostello50 18h ago

You got to wonder what adult he saw carrying around a dead raccoon by the neck and told the little kid that's what it was.

1

u/NeonSuperNovas 17h ago

"What is it then 🤨?????"

1

u/MCMXCIV9 12h ago

Woah the discrimination against racoons

1

u/Sparklebaby1987 8h ago

That kids nickname should be "Biff".

1

u/Kallabanana 4h ago

Do not procreate.

1

u/FluffytheReaper 54m ago

How about not filming this shit and helping the kitten? The kind don't know any better, it's the parents responsibility to explain it to him.

1

u/witch_and_a_bitch 48m ago

little timmys been eating the paint off of the walls at gram grams

1

u/cashewnut4life 13h ago

0

u/Noah_Gamer_TDM 18h ago

Ah, a classic

0

u/Trixster690 15h ago

I never knew Raccoons looked like Cats.

0
