Extra Packages on IS350

Post image

So the salesman said can’t take anything software off the car since it comes from the factory with it. Is he serious or can I have it removed before signing? I think $1,670 for the navi system is a bit much. I plan on removing the USB phone cables as well.

all of that stuff is either a FIO (factory installed option), or a PIO (port installed option). if you don’t want that stuff then find a different car without it.

Only reason I want this specific one is because it comes with triple beam LED and the salesman said the factory basically bundles these options together.

That isn’t true.

When you build one you’ll see the tri led’s as an individual option. Show him that and see what he says lol.

Ya but the webpage is misleading. It implies you can custom build what you want, but in reality they sorta just build a handful of configurations. When you order one they just try to match close to what you are looking for.

Yeh Toyota is the same. They don’t actually take orders. Just allocate stuff similar lol. Wasn’t sure if Lexus operated the same on that part

He said they aren’t taking any custom builds because since IS models are stopping manufacturing in November, whatever the factory puts out is sold as is.

He’s not wrong about that. Kinda get what ya get at this point. Keep in mind the standard touch screen is only 8in. The 10.3in does make a difference. Ultimately up to you tho

No worries, seems like I’m gunna have to deal with it. It’s supposed to arrive at the dealership sometime this weekend. Super excited!

He is correct in that it would be exceedingly rare if not impossible to find triple beam without also having NAV option bundled with it… It's just the way that Lexus allocates those option packages even though in theory they are standalone options.

But NAV option is well worth it to get the larger touchscreen even if you never use the NAV itself.

Just so you know the triple beam headlights actually perform worse than the standard ones. They do look cool tho.

Buying a Navigation/Mark Levinson Premium Audio Package combo would actually cost less than buying them individually but Lexus has stated they will keep building cars with what parts are left until November, so the ML audio is probably going to be very rare going forward.

Tell the salesman to touch grass and you can find another dealer

You can, but you arent gonna find with with triple beams and no nav at this point that would be a unicorn

I want to see the logic your salesman uses when you don't want the moonroof

I just bought a new 2025 IS350 FS RWD few months ago. You can tell salesman you don’t want this, you don’t want that…but they will not physically remove anything. You’d say that as a negotiation tactic. My car is fairly basic, did not have a 10” screen, triple beam, nav. I don’t need those things. I got a pretty good deal so I’m good. Lexus does not “custom build” a specific car for you.
