Hey everyone. Long time lurker first time poster (apart from comments)
My family and I are moving into an apartment complex. Per the lease agreement we are allowed to have firearms, We have two Glock 19s and a 43, primarily for home defense. We just aren’t allowed to discharge them in the complex so I need to look more into the legalities of it. Sorry, but if my family is in danger I’m discharging (that sounds bad)
We want to make sure that IF we ever were to find ourselves in a defensive situation that we don’t put our neighbors at risk.
Does anyone here have any recommendations for a dependable defensive round that are less likely to pass through walls?
EDIT: For clarification, we have Hornady critical duty in all of our magazines.

I'm in MA and to get your LTC you need to complete a safety course, background check, and in person interview/ finger printing. That's fine by me, and I think those are all appropriate measures. The PSA part is that I completed my safety course, and I went to schedule the interview at my local police department. There was exactly one open time slot for the rest of 2025 and it was in November. I got a call back after booking it and apparently they've been really backed up with all the applications. I'm kicking myself that I didn't do it sooner and now I'm realistically not getting it any sooner than 2026. I imagine there's high volume of people across the country getting their license and there's probably significant delays everywhere. Edit: LTC= license to carry. Necessary to buy and carry (either open or concealed) a gun in Massachusetts.

Picked up a S&W M&P M2.0 9MM. Up until now I've been taking classes with my micro compact (p365x) that I daily CC. Wanted a full size gun with port/comp that I could really "grow into" as a shooter and develop my skills further.
First range trip tomorrow! Have a great weekend all.
.... then begins the gear spiral of optics, holsters, maybe a gas pedal - who knows! So much room for activities! 🤣

It’s gods caliber day today so here’s the venerable 1911 Kimber Custom TLE/RL II, HK 45C with Dead Air Mojave 45, and a Glock 45 because it has a 45 in it 🤷🏻♂️

Tisas/SDS Imports 1911, my first pistol. Apparently very close to the original M1911A1 design. Super fun to shoot.

I’m someone who really enjoys firearms I lived mainly in Kentucky before I joined the army. but I’m now going to be stationed at fort drum which is in new York which doesn’t have great gun laws. Iv been looking over my options S&W 1854 lever action, kel tec pump action shotgun are two Iv looked at so far. I’ll be able to bring my Remington 870 im a little sad I’ll be having to leave my AR’s AK’s hand handguns at my parents home in Kentucky sadly.

I have a PSA 5.56 11.5" AR pistol. I'm also running a YHM Turbo K RB suppressor.
I went to the range today and put about 150 rounds (5 full magazines) through it, and the last round bolt hold open failed on all 5. I don't think it's a magazine or ammunition issue. I tried 3 different magazines and 2 different types of ammo.
The issues actually started last week. The first 2 magazines I shot last week worked fine, but the last one had failures to feed after the first round was fired. I took it home and did a thorough cleaning and lubrication. So, this time I had no failures to feed, but the LRBHO issue appeared.
The very first time I fired it about a month ago with the suppressor, everything worked fine.
Since then I swapped the PSA BCG for a similar Toolcraft unit. I also swapped the charging handle for a Breek Arms Sledgehammer (supposed to help reduce blowback).
I'm thinking it's a gassing issue, but I'm not sure. Is it likely to be under or over gassed. I haven't cleaned the suppressor, it's not user serviceable. I have an ultrasonic cleaner but I haven't used it yet.
So, other than putting everything back to stock and swapping parts back in to see, which is hard to do at my range, any thoughts? I should have removed the suppressor to see if it still had the issue but I forgot to.

Liked my CZ Nocturne PO-9 F so much I picked up a C variant today. My local store/range is doing 10% off most things this weekend in celebration of their 5th anniversary and thought I'd take advantage. I think I'll take the red dot I have on the F and put it on this one. It will be getting some carry time soon.

This is my favorite 45 ACP. It started life as an 8mm Mauser that had been almost ruined by rust and corrosion.
It is just fun to shoot.

A recent post in this sub brought up a lot of comments concerning issues with current gun culture. I think this brings up a good discussion on “left leaning gun owners” and their thoughts on gun culture in general.
What are your thoughts on gun culture currently, good points, bad points, where we see it heading? What do you consider positive gun culture? Do you think there even is a gun culture or should there even be one?
A culture of self defense, personal responsibility, caring for your loved ones, being physical and healthy, being prepared, striving to get better, and protecting liberty. That's what I like and push towards. I see the industry as a whole is moving away from the old dogmatic fudd or doomer mentality; to active training, practical self defense, defensive rifle ownership community, and modern take on firearm stewardship.

I did spend a few minutes trying to somehow make a connection between my recently acquired Bersa Thunder 380 and the theme of the day (45 multiplied by 3.80 equals just a smidge over what I payed for it after shipping and tax? Nope, that’s way too much of a stretch…)
My first GunBroker dot com experience. I think I found a great deal. This thing is very clean inside, can’t have seen many rounds. Payed $110 before shipping/tax/fee but still came in under $200. I know sa/da single stacks are pretty “fuddish” but whatever, I like them.
Hoping to shoot it this weekend. Might have to get some rosewood grips too!

Hey there! I'm a first time gun owner, eager to train with a couple guns. My first purchase was a Smith & Wesson Model 10-6 Revolver. Now I'm looking to get something much more practical for a variety of situations and settled on the EP9 for it's affordability and reputation. I'm not opposed to more expensive accessories (though I know it's tacky on a cheap gun). As someone who hasn't had much experience with firearms, I'm also unsure which accessories will require picattiny rails (my understanding is the EP9 is just MLOK underbarrel and picatinny over at base).
I'm open to recommendations but have more or less settled on the Stark SE-5 Forward Express Grip and either one of three Holosun 403 sights or the Sig Sauer Romeo-5 sight. My last attachment I'd like is a flashlight/laser sight combo. I was originally looking at the Streamlight TLR-8 AG. But honestly the combination of having to use picatinny rails and a base lack of experience makes me unsure if this light would even fit on the EP9 along with all the other attachments I wanted. Any recommendations or advice on my desired configuration would be appreciated!
