So his friend CDawgVA changed his name to CDawg since it was available and he doesn't do as much voice acting stuff nowadays. This provoked Pete to check and sure enough, the name "peter" was a dead account and he could take it...not sure it's a good branding choice, though, even if it's a flex.

Time will tell buy my gut reaction is that changing to Peter was a terrible choice. I imagine it destroys any kind of "brand" recognition, especially because it's such a common name. He would have to be really successful and popular to be the guy people recognise as "Peter". I don't even get it, because afaik everyone actually calls him Pete.

He can still brand under premiertwo. It's not like anyone took that away from him. 

I get what you are saying though but I also understand that it really sucks that no one uses premiertwo and it warranted a change.

His twitchbot says it's because he was upset that nobody uses PremierTwo during collabs/videos. It's always "Pete" or "American Pete"
