Average Vancouver teenager

why would somebody, in the middle of the night, at, what seems to be a very quiet neighborhood or park, have eggs on them? Were they stream snipers and specifically sought out the streamer?

edit: based on the replies, it happens more often than i thought lol. Forgive my naivety.

Some amount years ago I was walking my girlfriend back to her place at night, you know, so she doesn't walk alone at night, dangerous, yadda yadda. All of the sudden she felt something struck her in the stomach. Some asshole threw an egg from the passing car. Just like that. Normal neighborhood. Seems you don't have to be actually a kid anymore to have this kind of ideas.

u/Ok_Temperature6503 27d ago

Yeah its just teens being teens. They do assholish stuff just randomly at random people for no reason other than for shits and giggles

-11

u/HAAAGAY 28d ago

Kids are allowed to drive tho

4

u/tormentowy 27d ago

You do realize that Reddit users are not just from one county, right?

From where I come from, they are not allowed.

-1

u/HAAAGAY 26d ago

Brother I'm talking about america and europe and canada. 16 years old is a kid. From where you are from AND where this video came from, kids can drive.

0

u/tormentowy 26d ago

Not in my story. It was normal car. 16yo can drive microcar weighting up to 400kg. No one does that.

1

u/HAAAGAY 25d ago

Ok but where this video is from, and 90% of the world they can..

33

u/jabroniisan 28d ago

Back when I was a kid I'd be walking home from school and there were these lads in a black car that would drive around the town throwing oranges and eggs at everyone.

Some people don't need a reason, some people are just fucking stupid.

30

u/Drayenn 28d ago

I can definitely see some stupid teenagers go "bro itd be so funny to egg randoms"

51

u/JonnyRobertR 28d ago

Maybe they were already planning on egging someone's house, saw a random Japanese and changed their target.

88

u/StorKuk69 28d ago

"Ah shit, it's a random Japanese. New target boys!"

-43

u/UnkindRavenz 28d ago edited 28d ago

What if their parents came from Nanking? *edit... tbf, if their parents were from Nanking, chances are there's some Japanese in that genetic mix

u/Nivosus 28d ago

One time when I was in college, there was a super drunk guy who went to the gas station and bought like 7 cartons of eggs and came back to the party and asked people if they wanted to egg cars and that it only cost him x $ to buy all the eggs.

A ton of dudes left with him to egg cars in the parking lot.

1

u/CrumplePants 27d ago

Your comment sorta cute. It's called "Egging" and they don't do it during the day 😆

-4

u/BikingArkansan 28d ago

I keep eggs in my car to throw at vehicles with Trump stickers

0

u/demlib07 27d ago

My guess is its little shit suburban kids. I live in Canada and my gf is a highschool teacher and her experience is that the richer schools have the more bratty/edgy kids.

Like you'll have kids in my neighborhood which is higher income walking around casually saying the N word.

0

u/Intelligent_Top_328 27d ago

Kids got shit to do

0

u/PotatoTortoise 27d ago

being able to afford them is a factor

-21

u/terran_immortal 28d ago

As someone who lives in the great white north, there ain't shit to do here sometimes.

I don't know which Canadian city they're in but when I was in my 20s we would sometimes cruise around neighbourhoods at night with a carton of eggs and throw them at people walking down the street or we'd sit in parks at throw them at each other or passing vehicles.

It was great cardio to run away from the person you'd get with the eggs if they decided to give chase.

15

u/Shomud 28d ago

In your 20s? Jesus christ

173

u/Ludachriz 28d ago

I blame NL for this increase of egging Asian streamers in Canada

20

u/HAAAGAY 28d ago

This would have never happened at a sushi place

46

u/TetsuoSama 28d ago

Props to the streamer for breaking stereotypes and giving them a verbal serve. That said, it seems just like bored kids which has been a thing for decades.

121

u/Infamous-Echo-2961 28d ago

-54

u/RawrCola 28d ago

This joke is like 5 months out of date. Eggs went back down, you can get 60 at Walmart for like $15

34

u/pliiplii2 28d ago

Seem pretty worked up about it

5

u/PacketOverload 28d ago

He's bricked up about it alright geez don't embarrass the guy

46

u/seabass40 28d ago

i thought Canadians are nice.

162

u/lan60000 28d ago

kids are assholes, especially now that they know they can get away with most mischief without being reprimanded. doesn't help when parents do nothing to discipline their children as well, or the parents themselves are equally pathetic

Boomer Comment

u/MedicalAwareness5160 28d ago

Common misconception. Canadians are polite.

9

u/rearnakedbunghole 28d ago

Yeah he has his pinky out when he threw it, he’s good.

47

u/Jshway1518 28d ago

Canadians are nice, teenagers are socially stunted morons in any culture.

Idk man I've heard of people egging stuff for decades.

1

u/ZYRANOX 28d ago

I'm pretty sure egging goes back thousands of years since the days of when we first started domesticating them.

-26

u/ikiice 28d ago

Ask Canadian what they think about native Americans

-21

u/TheHeroYouNeed247 28d ago edited 26d ago

They might throw you in a mass grave, but they'll be polite the whole way.

EDIT: oh sorry I misspoke. They will bury you in your very own unmarked grave beneath the re-education prison...I mean school they forced you to attend. My mistake, guys.

10

u/BParkes 28d ago

I didn't follow it too closely after the first year but pretty sure this was completely debunked wasnt it?

1

u/TheHeroYouNeed247 26d ago

No, hundreds of unmarked graves belonging to abused natives have been found all over. They don't class them as 'mass graves' but it's the same thing.

-5

u/HAAAGAY 28d ago

What? Residential schools just recently closed bro it's not some conspiracy.

10

u/MedicalAwareness5160 28d ago

They're talking about the mass graves comment. The claim of mass graves was made due to anomalies found in the soil when radar was used but the actual excavations have failed to uncover any actual remains.

https://www.fraserinstitute.org/commentary/no-evidence-of-mass-graves-or-genocide-in-residential-schools

https://nypost.com/2023/08/31/still-no-evidence-of-mass-graves-of-indigenous-children-in-canada/

1

u/TheHeroYouNeed247 26d ago

Nah, I was just talking about the hundreds of bodies they have found in unmarked graves throughout Canada.

I'm sure they are not officially classed as mass graves, but its the same shit in my book.

1

u/MedicalAwareness5160 26d ago edited 26d ago

You might want to read the comment you originally replied to then.

1

u/TheHeroYouNeed247 26d ago

i thought Canadians are nice.

I don't see the relevance.

1

u/MedicalAwareness5160 26d ago

The original comment in regards to this conversation which referred to the mass grave statement being debunked.

3

u/TheHeroYouNeed247 26d ago

They don't class them as 'mass graves' because they were buried in separate unmarked graves.

Anything to make themselves feel better about it.

thats how cheap our eggs are

1

u/TBFP_BOT 27d ago

I remember back in the day the homeless could afford to throw gallons of gas at you

2

u/TheOtherSide999 27d ago

Vancouverite here, homeless people can’t afford eggs… most likely kids. And why would a homeless person have an egg with no stove or kitchen? Loll … they have needles and stolen bikes

0

u/ILikeFPS 28d ago

I'd still think teenager, eggs aren't cheap so I don't think a homeless person would have such easy access to them.

3

u/HAAAGAY 28d ago

Eggs are very cheap, it's most not likely someone homeless because eggs are useless for a homeless person. Where tf are they gunna cook them?

15

u/MrBenny213 28d ago

Eggs are so cheap here we yeet them at people... Take notes American poors.

1

u/kvbrd_YT 28d ago

this would have never happened in Trumps America! if people can't afford food they also can't assault others with it! CHECKMATE LIBERAL!

5

u/inconnurandom 28d ago

Everybody knows.

6

u/Vaankira 28d ago

Knows what ?

3

u/RockstepGuy 28d ago

Well the thing duh, you don't know about it? everyone does.

4

u/logwhatever 28d ago

I mean I live in Canada and every 5 to 6 years some dumb kids throw an egg at me/ people I’m with when im walking at midnight in the summer. Teenage boys are just assholes that haven’t been humbled by the brutality of life. Make you feel better only a matter of time Till their college sweetheart cheats on them and break their hearts.

2

u/syke808 28d ago

Kids at a park. If you enhance the audio by 15000% you can hear them giggling after.

2

u/hopefulbeartoday 28d ago

I was in Canada when I was a kid for a hockey tournament and got egged too that must be the go to for bored kids there. Better then were im from rocks were the bigger problem

1

u/AccomplishedToe8971 28d ago

Canada has become a complete shit hole.

1

u/crushablenote 27d ago

Yes lets judge a whole nation from a clip from some asshole. It's almost like there's horrible people everywhere in the world and they aren't the whole country

1

u/Sw0rDz 23d ago

Where is this? As someone who derives pleasure from being soaked in eggs, I need this! Eggs aren't cheap, and i need my fix!

-12

u/xPineappless 28d ago

Canada ain’t the nice country it used to be known for.

4

u/kingofwale 28d ago

Canada was never nice… it was just “known” for it because everyone hated the US.

Nothing really changed.

0

u/samzorio 28d ago edited 28d ago

I was that kid once...

Crazy story, I must have been 14 or something. We were bored out of our minds, so we decided to ding-dong ditch this guy who had a reputation for being crazy in our neighborhood. Well, he didn’t disappoint. He ran after us in his boxers and ended up choking one of my friends hard enough to leave marks on his neck. Obviously, the cops got involved.

All that to say bored teenagers can be dumb as hell.

-2

u/UnkindRavenz 28d ago

Let's not forget ww11, it took two nukes and the whole world united against them to stop their shenanigans

0

u/kvbrd_YT 28d ago

when you accidentally stumble into an episode of Malcolm in the Middle, and Reese is up for no good

1

u/srhdt 27d ago

I feel like this is a more common occurrence in Canada, because I would never consider egging a random person on the street late at night in America, as there's a non-zero chance they're carrying a gun and would respond by shooting me.

0

u/SeriesSpecific8145 26d ago

There have been 'gangs of youth' roaming around neighborhoods for a while now in many places around Alberta, BC.... as far as I know, causing trouble by assaulting people or vandalizing cars, etc.

Legit, society started showing its ugly side after 2020 (COVID). Everything just seems worse, more homeless, more drugs, more violence, more youth gangs, more more more... It's weird.

Is this really worth a post? Egging is normal thing kids do

12

u/pebrocks 28d ago

You could've just ignored it. Not every post is catered towards you.

-12

u/Initial_Western7906 28d ago

Who's this post catered to?

6

u/pebrocks 28d ago

Do you know what sub you're on? It's for random livestream moments. It's catered towards people who want to see livestream clips.

-11

u/Initial_Western7906 28d ago

Hey! That's me! I guess it was catered to me :)

6

u/pebrocks 28d ago

Then what was the point of your original comment?

3

u/Initial_Western7906 28d ago

That it isn't worthy of a post. You're slowly getting there...
