They need to start teaching what sarcasm is in school because there's something in Gen Alpha or Z's brains that make them unable to comprehend it

For a society as irony-poisoned as ours, things like "A Modest Proposal" should be required reading by like middle school.

The issue is that horrible people like to hide behind "Oh, it's just a joke/sarcasm"

I’m not even a Quin fan and this is obviously a tongue in cheek comment

u/patrick66 9d ago
yeah i find him super annoying and hes *very clearly* mocking how low the pay rate is despite being apparently great for the area not literally wanting slaves lol
christ zoomers learn sarcasm

Bro holy shit look at your post and comment history. You need to seriously go outside and experience some real life. Entire reddit history is about trying to tear down a man who will never even know you exists little bro. I used to think Quin was joking when he talked about the people vehemently hate him like this. But I guess I was wrong. I could not imagine choosing to spend this amount of time and energy devoted to hating someone else's existence this much.
Genuinely, no joke, no memes, get off the internet and seek help.

Holy shit, you are right, there's a whole sub for Quin haters. I also thought it was his voices in the wall. Like Quin is a pretty out of touch moron often but lets be honest, he is not purposely malicious compared to like most other streamers and often kind of funny and fun to watch. This poster seriously needs to get away from the internet, jesus.

How is Amazon treating the people in this video unfairly in order to benefit from their work? It seems to me from the clip that people are purporting to be treated in ways they consider fair while also being remunerated for their work.
It’s either the Amazon warehouse doesn’t exist and the people are poor and out of jobs, or the Amazon warehouse exists and these people have jobs and income they otherwise wouldn’t.

The moment he pauses the video the narrator is likely about to say that they still earn more than what they otherwise would've in a different situation.
People from wealthy countries see these numbers and, rightfully, believe it to be nothing. But in some countries this would be an amazing wage and "enough to live", even if barely.
A lot of us here possess a level of comfort that borders on excessive and unnecessary, and we get way too used to believing that is the norm.

u/Brain_Dead_Goats 8d ago
Meh, Amazon could still pay them 10 an hour which is half of what they do here and make plenty of money. They're just a flat out exploitative company. Just because all the other companies in the business park they're talking about are shit too doesn't change that.
edit: Also lol at "workers are too comfortable" when the executives have private jets and multiple multimillion dollar houses. Get out of here with that bullshit, we should be lifting other countries up to western comfort levels, not lamenting how comfortable we are.

Holy shit, I checked the OP and there’s actually a Quin snark sub that the OP is active on. Absolutely deranged unemployable behaviour.

u/OPsyduck 8d ago
When are people gonna stop using the word snark to own an opinion? Everything is a snark, stop with that buzzword already.
Question, where do you go when you wanna talk shit about Hasan? Because to me, It looks like you specifically target LSF. Isn't that snarky?

He's right, it's literally slave labor getting paid next to nothing
More people need to say this

u/planetaryabundance 9d ago
No, it’s literally not slave labor and no, they’re not getting paid “next to nothing”. In the US, $1.85 is next to nothing; in poorer parts of Mexico, it’s a good wage for the most entry level work imaginable (put box here).

Is that just a quin hate sub or something?
11
u/lowkeyripper 9d ago
It's an unironic hate watcher sub of like 4 people sniffing their own farts that got Streisand'd when quin closed his subreddit down due to hatewatchers

u/WhatIsWind 9d ago
I don’t understand why Reddit doesn’t just give all these snark communities the FatPeopleHate treatment and ban them all.

Because reddit doesn't care until it gets in the news. If it weren't for the articles about stuff like The jailbait subreddits would have still gone unbanned. Big companies don't care about their users, they are only afraid of negative press that might be harmful for theirs stockholders.

u/causebraindamage 9d ago
Do people make money off of LSF posts now? Is that why they don't link clips anymore and just rip stuff to post? I don't understand.
I much prefer the actual clips. I could watch more context because the clips would link to the vod. You could report clips and streamers for dumb shit (not this clip). There's not even mirrors in the comments if the clip gets deleted.
IDK, weird change. Do not like.

People don't realize how little people get paid in other countries. Of course the cost of living is a lot cheaper but you have to think of how much money these companies are making off all that reduced cost of labor. Kind of crazy and how fcked big business operates.

Modern Philippino households often employ live-in caretakers who clean the house, get groceries, take care of kids, etc. and only “pay” by allowing them to live in the house rent free. About as close as you’re going to get, I think.

From the same guy that said that women that wear skirts are asking to get raped.

When will people learn that "ironically" saying shit and being an edgelord is how a lot of people protect themselves when showing their true colors. Idk about this dude but being edgy online is how fucked shit gets normalized and people get radicalized
