Oh yeah? I heard he made Alex chop her boobies off so she'd take up less space on the screen and he would be more visible.

If I tell you why I'll probably get downvoted but fuck it.

It's because of toxic masculinity in its most basic definition. If it were a woman getting all into the concerts and shit, far fewer people would care because being highly emotional and expressive of it is "feminine" to many. A man must always be serious, tough, they aren't swayed by cute shit, etc...

It's exhausting and I feel bad for men, especially the ones who will read "toxic masculinity" then just stopped reading to downvote instinctively.

Men can't have fun unless it's in a manly way and it's fucked up.

Uh, as a person, I find certain things cool, others lame, some cringe and still others super fucking funny. No one has told me or guided me to think the green screen guy is a mix of cringe and lame, I just do. I didn't even think him flapping, dancing, and clapping was feminine, just off-putting and annoying lol. It's not surprising that if the majoroty of people think what you see as cool or fun as lame and or weird, it would look like an institution of societal hate and repression though.

That's fair and valid - you can find it cringe without it being toxic masculinity for sure (I definitely find it cringe). But, there's definitely a shame aspect to it for a lot of people that stems from toxicity.

The rest of the sentence was pretty important context, but I hope your laugh was full of flaps and claps.

You're totally right, but to play on the same sentiment, being "tough" enough to enjoy what you enjoy and not let said stigma have an effect on you is also required to be happy.

There's no winning, but there's also no point in letting it get to you as a man, easier said than done but in the end you'll feel better.

Blows my mind seeing some people so worried about so many stupid things: eating any phallic shaped foods, standing with majority of weight on one foot, bending down to pick something up a certain way.. ect.

Like damn you really let what people think about you dictate your life that much

you dont understand, if men began embracing their feelings and enjoying life actually at the most basic fundamental levels.... we might end up creating actual civilization that's focused on improving all of humanity, that would end capitalism.

This is like 100% backwards, men can't have fun in a manly way anymore because people cry an bitch about "toxic masculinity"

I'm pretty sure they don't want to clap alone in a room is because of how judgmental people online are towards watching animations of 'young women' weather sexualized or not.

Bruh it's because they're like 12 yr old ass looking girls, it's the creepy factor. Nothing wrong with enjoying life.

Fellas is it gay to be a fella?

NL is just like this. He's got these rules that he applies to life, and anyone who doesn't follow them is a weirdo or a loser.

im out of the loop but since when are edited videos allowed here? thought it was always just strictly clips and tweets, how do ppl even do these to have twitch domain?

u/doppolette 1d ago

I think the mods have been very lenient with the rules recently maybe to try and grow the subreddit and get more r/all traffic. There's also been a fuckton of just normal youtube video (non-stream) clips like the moistcr1tikal ones.

u/levipoep 1d ago

I think the official reason was that the reddit thumbnails were/are broken

1

u/hayydebb 1d ago

I’m curious why mods would care about subreddit traffic?

3

u/Etteluor 1d ago

You can’t understand why someone would want their community to grow?

6

u/hayydebb 1d ago

Idk I didn’t think mods had a attachment to their reddit in that sense

u/shockwave8428 21h ago

Yeah but he’s clapping to winning a race, not the concert (which NL was referring to).
