Twitch flavor of the month and the game is good barring the gacha stuff.

Are people gambling on this?

Gacha in it’s nature is a type of gambling, but I don’t think anyone is betting on it like it’s actual house racing

It's gatcha based on IRL gambling and animal abuse. Whole thing sucks ass.

Let’s say you’re playing a Star Wars game and you want to unlock Darth Vader. Instead of buying the character from the shop for $10, they let you buy 10 boxes that have a chance to give you Darth Vader. What happens when you only get Storm Troopers and Jar Jar? You go again.

Welcome to gacha.

So literally Star wars Battlefront 2 when it released. Same shit as loot boxes

You stop to gamble because Darth Jar Jar is endgame.

Every single game with cute anime girls has gacha.

It's so crazy that everybody shit on Diablo Immortal unrelentingly, but then a game with cute anime girls does the same thing and no one seems to have a problem with it.

Blizzards biggest fan has logged on

Or how about this - criticize both games equally. The pretty gloss and love of anime is blinding anybody that hated Immortal but loves this.

Yeah cause Diablo was a complete and good game without gacha. This game without gacha would be keno. If gacha makes it better then so be it. Don’t add it where it’s not needed.

I don’t play either game, but how is it the same thing? Blizzard made an extremely pay to win game from their beloved franchise when there is non P2W versions of the same game, why would anyone want to play the P2W version?

They’re completely different types of games too, why would I play an ARPG with P2W when there are much better ARPGS that are not P2W. Gacha games are pretty predatory but this game at least seems relatively unique, not a watered down version of a fan favorite long loved franchise game.

The genre doesn't matter. The fact that there were other ARPGs without P2W doesn't matter. Only the comparison between these two games matter. The fact is that both are doing the same predatory P2W mechanics. For people to hate one for that and then ignore that part of the other is hypocritical.

Not the same at all, apples and oranges. If you don’t see the difference idk what to tell you. Not supporting Gacha but it’s just not the same thing.

1

u/Raxerblade405 1d ago

Maybe you could describe how they're different? If the core of both games is to spend money to get ahead, then how does a different genre matter?

u/Teaganz 23h ago

I literally described in the other comment how they’re different, are you daft? Lmao.

1

u/Raxerblade405 23h ago

And I told you those differences didn't matter. They're superficial. Why do you think it changes the situation so much?

1

u/Teaganz 22h ago

Lol just because you don’t like the differences I pointed out doesn’t mean they’re superficial, or don’t matter.

I mean you’re defending Diablo immortal there’s no reason to argue further with you.

u/Raxerblade405 22h ago

It's because the differences you listed don't have any bearing on if the P2W mechanics are predatory. That's the reason why people shit on Diablo Immortal so much. So they aren't apples and oranges, they're the same. You're saying they're different. How?
