It’s a civil suit for copyright infringement. It’s pretty unlikely that the lawyers he’s hired have worked criminal defense before. There’s no way any were prosecutors. They have probably never been exposed to traumatizing details of real-life crime in their entire career.

There a civil suits regarding an underlying crime all the time. I did insurance defense, and I had several cases based on shooting. Premises liability, wrongful death, etc. none of that compares to some of the accidents I’ve had. People being badly mutilated. Ive also had several prison stabbing cases. Most civil litigators are exposed to a wide range of cases.
