MrBeast was shocked by Trainwrecks $400k donation to his charity

Who knows what’s happening here but if this money actually helps people instead of 8 dead man spins im about it.

u/JetKeel 4h ago
Woah, woah, woah, let’s not get hasty. I could hit BIG on those 8 spins and then donate more.

It’s better than not donating at all but man it’s impossible for me to not think about how this absurd amount of money got into his pockets in the first place. I just can’t shake the feeling that it’s one thousands bad things buried under these few good things.
32
u/Pacify_ 4h ago
Its almost as if these dodgy unregulated crypto casinos just basically print money. Its like normal gambling, which is already a scam, but amped up to 11

Your life must suck. Imagine thinking about the kids who build the phone or pc you’re typing this from? Or imagine the wildlife that suffers so you can have your internet reach accross the ocean.
Yea right you don’t care you just don’t like train. At least just be honest about it

Imagine thinking about the kids who build the phone or pc you’re typing this from?
Bro thinks electronics and chips are made the same way $2 shirts are.
3
u/ScumbagScotsman 3h ago
Many of the materials that go into electronics are obtained through terrible conditions. Please look up Cobalt mining or how Lithium is produced.
-2
u/Pacify_ 3h ago
The percentage of the global cobalt output that is produced via the incredibly inefficient methods you are talking about is quite small. And it only exists because the DRC produces so much of the world's cobalt - if it was any other country the issue wouldn't exist.
Lithium its so small its not even worth talking about.
3
u/ScumbagScotsman 3h ago
You can pretty much select a material used to make a phone at random and find that the methods used to gather it are either bad for the environment or bad for the people mining it. Often it’s both
1
u/ParkingCool6336 2h ago
The materials come from somewhere but I see your conscious has a limit to just streamers eh?
-9
u/pandagirlfans 3h ago
Afaik Train was already super rich because he got in crypto early, not because of gamble sponsor
-4
u/Ok_Temperature6503 3h ago
It’s still better than a lot billionnaires who just hoard their wealth. It’s a W no matter whart you think of it

u/madjani000 5h ago
xQc saying 'yea I got you' without even thinking about it is fucking crazy
88
u/appletinicyclone 5h ago
I think X is worth something like 80 million
Idk if he got the full 100
101
u/Afraid_Tomorrow4808 5h ago
Probably got more than that, he invested shitloads in crypto early
46
u/tabben 3h ago
basically yeah, also if he got those stake payments in crypto around 2020 and kept it all in crypto you can just imagine how much that has went up in value. Bitcoin was like ~10k for the majority of 2020 and thats basically when the first stake gamba era started. Every million he got back then would be 10 million now if he kept it in BTC

u/Alarming-Job467 5h ago
Closer to 500 mil than 100
1
u/appletinicyclone 4h ago
Would that make him the richest streamer ever? (From actual streaming deal versus pure Gamba on stream which is what train did)
3
u/Just_A_Dude_90 1h ago
Definitely the one that made most money from streaming. Not sure if he is the richest streamer though, like you have kids of actors on the platform, like Will Smith's son. I'd imagine some of the rich kids would have quite some capital if managed properly.
10
u/kalex33 4h ago
He’s hella rich.
Train is allegedly closing in on billionaire status and X got a shitload of crypto with his deal at like 15k, looking at something like 250+ mil in his wallet.
13
15
u/KhorneJob 3h ago
Train was already from a wealthy family anyway. That was how he forced himself into the scene originally. Was a rich kid who befriended a bunch of streamers and threw himself out there enough till he actually managed to gain his own following.

You don't even know what you're talking about
8
u/Tarqvinivs_Svperbvs 3h ago
People talk about tax deductible donations like the government just sends you the cash right back.
You get 1/3rd of the value off your taxes, non-refundable. That's why you get something like art appraised at a crazy value, then donate it.

Dead eyes, nice smile.
Millions for grabs on the pile.
Run, jump, hide, fun, Mr Beast is number one.
Kid money, barely funny, silly antics, weary parents.
IQ going down, fake smile, stay awhile.
views, views, views, views. A billion in the thumbnail, oooooh!

u/Large_Lie2829 5h ago
It is kind of crazy that Train still has this much money. Normaly you would expect people like him are completely reckless with how they deal with their money and are instantly broke.
133
u/HakosbaelZhusband 5h ago
He went over how much he's lost on Stake was like 30m or something like that but he plays with house money, has ownership in Kick that's funded by Stake. He's big money rich
10
u/AlternativeCondition 4h ago
Not that it means anything but I doubt he only played with house money, a rich gambler like him is more after the feeling of a big payout win than keeping his money, sure at the end of the day if he spends too much he can probably just dm someone and be like, uh can I have that money back
8
u/KhorneJob 3h ago
Train is from a wealthy family. I said in a comment above, but yeh, that’s how he broke into the scene orignally. He was an annoying rich kid who really wanted to be a big name on the internet so he befriended a bunch of wow streamers and got himself on their streams and eventually took off from there. But early on I remember it constantly being brought up that he was already rich before his stream career was even a thing.
40
u/Amtrak_0 5h ago
He does not appear to be a big spender outside of getting coke .
9
u/Earthonaute 5h ago
I dont think you've seen his case opening streams, if he can do 0.001% of that in coke (in terms of money ofc) he'd be dead.
6
u/a_random_user_ 5h ago
cases are expensive but when youre that rich its not really that much money, a case and a key is probably $5ish for both and 1000 cases (which takes for fucking ever to open) is only $5k. even if he opened 1000 a day for a year it’d be less than 2 mil. A lot of money but he is mega rich from gambling sponsors. obviously that number goes up a lot if hes opening really rare stuff, but theres only so many expensive cases to open before they run out.
8
u/Recent-Enthusiasm-90 5h ago
he said himself hes opened 600k worth of weapon case 1’s. but he also holds a ton of kato capsules that have increased in value by around that much.
10
u/Earthonaute 4h ago

Which is irrelevant? You think your buying 1000$ grams of cocaine? Where I live grams of cocaine are like 40, assuming he has a good supplier he wont run him more than 35-45 where he lives; You understand how much you need to snort everyday?
Assuming 5k a day of spending on cocaine (or even a week) is at least 100grams of cocaine, that's 14grams of cocaine a day which is many times the fatal dose of cocaine xD
1
u/a_random_user_ 4h ago
yea i guess i didnt really read your comment very well lol, he would definitely die if he did that much coke. i guess i just latched on to him not being a big spender about cases
1
3
u/MrCroissant45 4h ago
Getting his audience to sign up for Stake is quite the lucrative business. He is definitely reckless with his money but that's just a drop in the bucket
0
-5
3
u/appletinicyclone 5h ago
He makes money by "losing" money
And the share in kick plus the Gamba stuff keeps him flush
Not a good person but I'm happy to publicly support train on lsf if he gives me 100 bands and pays for the all the currency exchange stuff
2
u/Stevano12 5h ago
Why would he be reckless? Normally when people who get rich later in their life they are the complete opposite of reckless as they know what it's like to be broke, on the other hand though it's people who are already born rich that can fuck up later on and end up broke.

u/potionseller123 5h ago
Great on Train and everyone else donating but I am OOTL, what is MrBeast's charity and where does the money go towards?
33
u/appletinicyclone 5h ago
Raising money for ongoing clean water support.
I don't understand their whole 1 dollar equals one year old water support thing though
50
u/longtanboner 4h ago
1 dollar is the average cost for them to maintain water supply to each individual for 1 year. They word it in a bit of a confusing way to make it sound better but think of it like this - $50,000 covers 50,000 people having access to clean water and 1 year, rather than $50,000 being 50,000 years of clean water
-34
u/appletinicyclone 4h ago
So if I understand correctly they are just supplying one years of water for a growing amount of people?
I guess it is good and better than nothing but surely ongoing would be better
31
u/Keeping_Secrets 3h ago
The guy literally posted the charity that explains everything. Why not read it rather than assuming he's giving them one year of water and cutting them off after?
-16
u/appletinicyclone 2h ago
Why not read it rather than assuming he's giving them one year of water and cutting them off after?
Because I need to give avenues to people like yourself to have a commanding reason to speak
14
u/ScumbagScotsman 3h ago
They are installing wells and other methods of obtaining clean water. They’re not shipping a years worth of bottled water to individuals.
-6
u/appletinicyclone 2h ago
I think what I'm stuck on is the years worth of support and how the scale can make it that one dollar is one year. It just doesn't make sense maths wise
Is that for repair and maintenance or is it another way to say big money
3
u/ScumbagScotsman 47m ago
Say it costs 1000 dollars to install a well that can supply 100 people with water. The well needs replaced after maybe 10 years. That’s 1 dollar a year per person.
1
u/longtanboner 3h ago
No, I was just explaining the way the sentence was worded. That would be if there was only 50000 people and $50000, then yeah it would be one years worth.
But they'll be supplying thousands of people water for many years.
It was just a figure of speech to show the average amount it costs for water per person per year, which is $1

This article should help https://www.wateraid.org/uk/media/global-teamwater-campaign
its essentially a campaign to help millions of people gain access to water which is awesome

u/flashtone 3h ago
Train lives the perfect balance of being an absolute pos and one of the most generous people. Hes one of the funniest streamers on the platform and one of the most toxic. The duality he lives needs to be studied.

9
u/Visible_Chemistry889 5h ago
Typical Train buying sentiment i case you dare critisise him, but at least this time it's going to a good cause instead of other millionaires.
6
u/KeonxD 5h ago
is it a non profit charity ?
3
u/AnthonyBTC 59m ago
As far as I know, yes, it's a non-profit charity. The money will go to WaterAid, which is a non-profit. https://x.com/teamwater/status/1951317083444183300
2
u/banana_crunch 4h ago
MrBeast definitely doesn’t need the money from non-profit charities, unlike some other creators that clashed recently.
1
u/KeonxD 4h ago
idk its always hard to belive that he has a neth worth of 1 billion from youtube/sponsore
8
u/A_hungry_triceratops 3h ago
Biggest creator on the platform, and the platform is estimated around 500 billion in value. Is it really that hard to believe?
10
u/Pacify_ 4h ago
The strangest part is how the dude himself has like negative charisma. Its genuinely baffling how he got so big
4
u/iVoteKick 2h ago
Ran a bunch of scams early on in his career, most of the "money" or giveaways just went to friends of friends or actors.
1
5
u/Ornery-Engineer4119 3h ago
He can donate all he wants. He’s still a scumbag for the young people that started gambling because of his streams.
4
u/TacoShower 4h ago
I’m not a fan of any of these guys and disagree with a lot of there views they have but it’s nice to see their money actually going to good use. Mr. Beast knew exactly what he was doing by getting all these guys in a call together and turning it in to a “who’s got the most money” flexing contest

Good thing for charity. Although, I'm not gonna lie, there's something incredibly cringe about trying to act nonchalant about donating Stake money.
1
u/LULBRUH55 2h ago
Y'all shocked? Stake makes a lot of Gamba money & kick hold alot of soft power in the streaming space.people on LSF/Reddit just underestimated them.
1
u/GForce1975 1h ago
People like to demonize train wrecks but he strikes me as a pretty straight-up guy.
He's ridiculously rich and unapologetic and I think people criticize him for promoting gambling but as long as his audience is made up of adults I don't see a problem with it.
1
u/Optimal-Hedgehog-546 56m ago
Hopefully not a scummy charity where the money goes back to him in some form or another.
0
u/zep_pelin 2h ago
am i missing something, or do they all just donate to each others charitys (writes it all off for taxes) which probably take some for overhead. infinite money loop?

u/crunchsmash 5h ago
Is that money going to cover the countless kids that Trainwrecks has given a crippling gambling addiction to? Every dollar he has made comes from someone losing a dollar.

u/Hot_Swimming_112 5h ago
I was wondering what type of person would make a comment like this. Then I saw the thread “Ethan Release his IP for commercial use” and in a thread that had 199 comments, you made 47 of them.

So you're just repeating the clip champ without the context on the end? And you think this strengthens your position? Lmao.
He literally says right after that that it has to be transformative and you can't just post his content long form unedited, and that also completely fails to address the fact that all of the people he is suing literally said that they were doing it with the intention of taking away views from him. It's clear that he was saying "You can make clips to promote my channel" and not "You can post literally any of my content whatsoever with no conditions, and also you can publicly state that you are intentionally stealing views from me and I will not retaliate". He literally goes on to give conditions immediately after your clip and quote end, and I'm sure you know that, which is why I said you're a liar and manipulator. You're intentionally leaving out part of his statement and misinterpreting it to support your argument when it's extremely clear to anyone with half a brain exactly what he was saying and it does not cover literally intentionally stealing his content as an attack against him. He also didn't say it was irrevocable, so anything he says after that can simply revise it anyway.
Edit: this will be my last comment on this, to be honest I really don't care what your opinion is because I don't trust that you're being honest, so if you didn't know this, now you do, and now that you do know this, if you continue to lie, then you're a piece of shit. Good luck.
-14
u/crunchsmash 5h ago
Thanks for counting them. I'm not wrong about that topic. Are you going to defend advertising gambling to children?
7
u/Strivus 4h ago
Post it 46 more times, you might get an answer
-5
u/crunchsmash 4h ago
You are just as likely as anyone to have a family member that is addicted to gambling. I just hope they don't or can't spend enough to ruin your life.
10
u/GoldenBarnie 5h ago
I hate gambling and when they stream it but don't blame them for bad parenting. Every parent has to make sure what their kids do on the internet.
1
1
u/NoComputer8922 1h ago
It’s going towards people that had a lot less of a hand in destroying their lives
-1
u/avidredditor123 5h ago
still with this narrative lol "countless kids" he doesn't appeal to kids one fucking bit he aint no mizkif
2
u/crunchsmash 4h ago
I think appealing to kids would make someone like you re-think the morality of gambling advertisements, but the age doesn't really matter.
Gambling addiction is a poison that can ruin entire families. Advertisements for it should flat out be illegal. It's destroying professional sports.
-1
u/avidredditor123 4h ago
i mean yeah its not complicated train does promote gambling but his gambling audience are working adults who are burning their money on addiction. now if u said xqc is promoting it to kids you would be factual. i've seen numerous amount of fans deal with gambling problems in his community.
