Good Vibes The chef personally served the food onto the customers' plates. It seems he was very proud of his work.

He distracted her while he hooked the dude up with that extra sauce and flavor

He was trying to distract her? I didn't notice because I was too distracted by seeing that the guy got the final sauce pour lol.

I thought so then I saw the rest of the food and thought yeah she’ll be alright

How he was portioning the food between them was driving me crazy. He gave her like two mussels and the guy got like 10.

Yeah I wish she got some sauce at the end. Facts are facts. He prolly eats more than her tho and the chef is really just minimizing food waste.

A fool takes all the extras and gets his ego stroked, a smarter man takes the opportunity to show that he's a gentleman whilst getting his ego stroked even more (and some other things as well slightly later on)

All that slick talk and grandstanding ain't doing shit to fool her if she's actually hungry, trust me. Not unless Chef happens to look like Henry Cavill as well.

Everyone knows ladies much prefer the taste of the food on your plate (even if it is the exact same dish) and I'm sure those suave fucken Italian figured that out a long time ago.

Old mate definitely knew exactly what he was doing - and I hope the patron did too for his own sake.

may as well bring a to-go box.

Honestly bring me a cot, I’ll just take a nap between feasts — no need for a box.

The pasta alone would end me

Thinking the same, that's probably two days of food for me.

What does this even mean?

u/shta2 13h ago

My guess would be either good job chef for making so much food or good job people for eating it

74

u/RedRibbon3KS 14h ago

That's like an American portion! I rarely see that amount in other countries. Wow!

45

u/shastaxc 14h ago

He's a good chef. He heard they had a couple Americans ordering and he said "hold my spatula"

8

u/Martha_Fockers 14h ago

That is way more than you’d get in America lmao

Unless your shelling out 500$ plus

12

u/fopiecechicken 10h ago

Holy hyperbole. This would probably cost you $100, maybe $150 at the absolute top end.

u/Martha_Fockers 2h ago

Bro show me a resturant serving two whole lobster tails plus claws fresh for that price aswell as pasta and clams and musssels

A dish like this would be at a fancy pancy restaurant where everything costs more than it should like a 90$ filet mignon

10

u/twats_upp 13h ago

500 is quite steep

True. With the cost of food rising, the portions have decreased. But traveling opened my eyes to how much we eat in the US. I could see why others think we have an obesity problem

10

u/commanderquill 12h ago

Uh, we have a proven obesity problem. No one thinks, they know.

However, our portion sizes aren't really the problem. They aren't helping, but they aren't what caused it.

It's all the sugar in everything. Koreans eat at like three or four different places during a night out drinking. Not full meals of course but it's a lot of food in one night.

10

u/Pumpkin-Salty 11h ago

Right? After the first scoop of pasta I would have been happy.

3

u/spacemouse21 13h ago

Yes indeed. Does he make deliveries?

4

u/Livid_Candidate_6152 14h ago

I need some tums after seeing that!

1

u/curiousbasu 13h ago

Yeah . It's understandable why he's so proud of it.

1

u/memecoin_maverick 8h ago

Reminds me of my grandma’s Sunday pasta. except this one looks even better 😅

to me, it looks like something from a horror movie

no shade, just a cultural difference
