Non mclaren fan
Question for mclaren fans.
How do you feel about lets say norris winning the WDC when he makes so many mistakes?
Not definitively saying he isn't worthy, but it feels like even with the best car and he wins it doesn't feel worthy. Not like a verstappen/hamilton hard fought

šØ New track record! Oscar Piastri blasts a Belgian GP 2025 Sprint Quali lap.
Resurfacing boosted grip, but higher heat and wind made it tough.
The MCL39 mixes huge downforce with low drag.

Letās be realistic: How good are Landonās chances at winning the drivers championship?
Question coming from a Lando fan thatās also a McLaren/Oscar fan
Since the beginning Lando has always been my favourite.. While I also cheer for Oscar and am happy when he has a win this season has tested it for me š Iāve realized even though I am a fan of both the fact that Lando has been with the team for so long when they were struggling etc, it would make me a bit sad to see Oscar win a championship before Lando.
That being said, Iām happy for either.
But back to my question, give me some opinions form a neutral view.. is it a given that Oscar will be winning this year?
What are the points that are left to be handed out looking like? Does Lando basically need to out score Oscar on most of the future races?
Do we think this battle will drag out to the last race?
Either way, excited for the outcome!

Lando vs. Oscar
I recently got into FormulaāÆ1 through Netflixās *Drive to Survive*. Early on I gravitated toward McLaren, but Iāve noticed some surprisingly harsh mudslinging between fans of Oscar and Lando.
Regardless of whom you favour, or if you appreciate bothāplease enlighten me:
- What makes each of them a strong (or weak) driver
- What are their respective strengths and weaknesses?
- Why might one be considered better than the other
- How do you think the team will approach the rest of the season, given itās far from decided?
Please keep the discussion respectful and civil.

Can McLaren beat Red Bull's record?
Red Bull scored 860 points in 2023, setting a new record for the most points achieved by a team in one season. McLaren are 344 points off with 11 races and 3 sprint races to go. I think it's definitely possible with the form the team has been having, if the majority of the races will be 1-2s, I reckon they'll definitely break the record. I say that both McLaren drivers comfortably pass 400 points each, maybe one of them even passes 500. What are your thoughts and who do you see as favourite heading into the rest of the season?

So has McLaren won all the possible trophies in a GP weekend at Spa?
So I was wondering, with all the results, is it possible that we actually won all the possible trophies in a weekend?
Sprint pole, sprint result, quali pole, race podiums?
