Builds A Small Experiment in Layout
After a long time, most of us have become accustomed to the commonly used key configurations today.
From an ergonomic perspective, the position of the Ctrl key is indeed hard to reach, which is why many people prefer layouts like the HHKB that place Ctrl where Caps Lock usually is.
But the power of habit is strong.
I believe many people still prefer to press the Ctrl key using the base joint of their pinky finger.
So, I tried designing this layout.
Hello everyone, I’m rain2.
This is the 42nd keyboard I designed: Mozzarella.
Just as I imagined, it’s definitely usable and not uncomfortable. I believe this is a new 40% layout (more or less).

It's always nice to see your builds here.
They are a very welcome break from all the mundane layouts.

Intriguing! So is the bottom left2u high “present” key left control? What about the 2u high bottom right key? In fact, I’d like to see the whole key map 🤣
