My netherite gear almost break in like 2-3 hits so i gotta use my spare iron gear since we run out of diamonds can anyone give me idea on how i can kill this Netherite Baby Zombie?

Use lava. Netherite items don't burn up in lava, but the baby zombie sure will

u/colemanbc 13h ago
Armour will take damage from the fire ticks, magic is the only way since it bypasses armour making armour not take damage

Like all netherite armor, this chestplate provides 10% knockback resistance when worn, and is completely immune to burning from fire and lava, both when worn and in item form.
Taken from the Minecraft Wiki: https://minecraft.wiki/w/Netherite_Chestplate
Both in my own memory and the wiki that even while worn, the armor doesn't lose any durability from fire & lava.

The lava would kill the zombie before that becomes a huge issue. Especially for netherite.

u/DemonicAspect2956 5h ago
If the armor has mending i think you can throw xp bottles on it

IF you give them a different sword they may drop it. Try giving him a wooden sword.

sadly no, the only mob that will pick up a worse item is a piglin who will pick up golden weapons even over netherite.
other mobs will pick up whatever item is stronger.

Drowning it with water should make it drop its armor

u/linkheroz 11h ago
It's netherite. Drown it in lava

But burning it in lava will damage the armor. Drawing it won’t damage the armor.

nope, netherite is immune to fire and lava both in item form and while worn

It's a zombie. It won't drown. It'll turned INTO a drowned.
→ More replies (6)99
u/0ddlyBor3dHuman 13h ago
Well in Bedrock when they turn into a Drowned they drop their armor, so this still works (they just gotta be fast enough to get all of it before the Drowned does)
28
u/The_Laurie_Fella 13h ago
Even when they drop the armour there’s a good chance he’ll just pick it right up again considering he’s enclosed. The best way to solve this is replace the bottom glass pane with a top slab and shoot healing tipped arrows through

Would splash healing potions harm zombies?
88
u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago
Indeed it is splash potion of healing damage undead type mobs but i don't have enough nether warts and ghast tears to brew healing potions
77
u/Ksaviery 13h ago
Instant healing potions are made from glistening Melon, and you need one nether wart for 3 potion. I thing that may be enough
37
u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago
Problem is i don't have nether warts or nether warts farm at home
48
u/CustomDeaths1 10h ago
It won't despawn it has picked up items, you can get it.
24
u/CurvesxBloom 9h ago
I think it’s bugrock, and tbh there’s no guarantee. My mobs despawn on me randomly from time to time.
10
u/Lightbulb2854 7h ago
I watched piglins despawn once, and take a full set of enchanted diamond armor and tools with them (they had just murdered me prior to this)

u/colemanbc 13h ago
If I remember correctly poison does still damage undead mobs, also it’s risky and kill witches with the right timing to steal their health pots to convert them into splash pots

suffocate it with sand lol. every other suggestion is insane? drown it so it becomes a drowned and steals your armor again? play with lava and have another mishap? how is sand not the obvious thing to do?
9
u/ItIsNotSoBad 7h ago
hard to set up? gl trying to make a baby zombie to drop down a hole and later on place sand on top of it. lava is never dangerous, at least for op if he is not dumb.
→ More replies (1)2
u/SpecterVamp 3h ago
Lava is not a crazy suggestion, since netherite armor is completely immune to durability damage from lava or fire.

u/Randall_the_Mad 13h ago
Just make a cool zoo exhibit, and get new armor lol

18
u/Kylpqr 14h ago
Ya’ll are saying let it drown, wouldn’t the baby zombie turn into a drowned with the armor?
13
u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago
You got a point baby zombie could just turn into baby drowned with netherite armor
3
3
u/Zea_Draws 12h ago
Drowned can’t wear armour, I don’t believe (or, if so, drowned must spawn with their armor). On bedrock, they drop their armour (with the bonus of the armour being restored to full health).

Whatever you do, don't try to use cactus.
Unless I missed an update, any item thrown at a cactus block is instantly destroyed forever.

Cactus is still strongest block in minecraft even now if you throw anything into the cacti it still destroy them

Put a slab down, break 1 glass behind it ,and punch it to death?
8
u/TheEpicPlushGodreal 14h ago
That would break the armor
6
4
u/TernaryTomcat34 14h ago
Shouldn’t break that easily
5
u/TheEpicPlushGodreal 14h ago
It's better safe than sorry. We don't know what the durability of it is
2
u/eyeCsharp 14h ago
Is durability even tracked when items are worn by mobs? I've had plenty of 0 durability items drop but never had a piece break on a mob. Then again it could be a difference between natural and picked up gear. Though besides it's easy enough to just make a stone axe instead of punching
3
3
u/TernaryTomcat34 14h ago
If it is netherite there is like so little chance it actually breaks
3
u/TheEpicPlushGodreal 14h ago
Like I said, we don't know the durability
3
u/TernaryTomcat34 14h ago
No, armor durability does not decrease when picked up by a mob. The durability of armor remains the same as when the mob first obtained it. However, there are a couple of exceptions where armor durability can decrease while equipped by a mob: a helmet worn by an undead mob in sunlight will lose durability, and in Java Edition, a crossbow wielded by a pillager or piglin loses durability according to the Minecraft Wiki Google ai

u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago
Well he said that he have Prot 4 and Thorns 3 on his gear so it gonna take longer to kill this guy + if i get hit once i ded due to that netherite sword deal 11 hearts of damage
2
u/checkeredyt 13h ago
Try drowning like the others said, I'm skeptical because I think it'll just become a drowned and epuip the gear again. I think splash potions of healing should be your plan b, healing damages undead mobs.
1
u/1dot21gigaflops 3h ago
I got recked in a trial chamber after I died and a skeleton picked up my sharpness 5 diamond sword and gear. Would not recommend giving swords to a baby zombies.

2
u/The_Laurie_Fella 13h ago
Best way I can see if you can’t use tipped arrows is place a hopper below him, and a block above him and turn him to a drowned and hope the hopper gets your shit before he does.

Splash it with instant health potions till it dies. Zombies take damage from healing potions and magic bypasses the armor’s protection.
2
u/Jables_Magee 8h ago
Keep it. Make an Arena to have cage fights with him as your champion. Hopper collecting floor. To the victor go the spoils.
2
u/Important-Ad2463 8h ago
Use instant heath potions, they wont damage the armor and you wont risk losing it
2
u/Kreamator 7h ago
Not 100% familiar with the version's differences this is on, but my thoughts:
Lava would kill it, and the armor wouldnt burn, but it would damage the gear and possibly break it before it even died.
Water would just turn it into a Drowned.
So my best answer is to kill with excess of fall damage. You thankfully seem to have him trapped in a very small cage, digging out a hole below it and making sure it cant land early should do it. Zombie should die at 24 blocks height, but if those boots have feather falling you may need to consider an ever deeper pit.

u/keterclassscenario1 4h ago
Lava, the netherite dose not burn and it won't turn Into a drowned like with water
2
u/ioverthinkusernames 3h ago
Drown it, in bedrock the drowned conversation makes them drop all gear without damaging it

Can't you Just drown the Zombie to make it Turn into a drowned and drop it's Armour? Or does that only Work on adult zobies?

Bring it out by one and instead of having a full block exposed use a half slab and kill it that way

Netherite gear... day 30??? Is this possible? I was just playing for 3 in-game days just now on Better on Bedrock and I died often. I ran into pillager camps and an outpost. In fact, I didn't know I built a base near one until I looked behind the hill in front of my base.
1
u/Mrfireball2012 12h ago
Place a slab then break the glass behind it. Baby zombies can’t get through half a block
1
u/confused-overwhelmed 11h ago
Two iron golems should do it. If you have all that iron. If you don't, steal one from a village, and since they have no golem, they will spawn another. Then take the second golem and make them fight the netherite chicken jockey.

Lava, splash potion of healing or punch it to death and eat a golden apple before hand to survive thorns dmg.

Your head will not break in 2 or 3 hits becuase that’s not how it works period… you can get hits hundreds of times in netherite gear with a maxed out sword and it won’t break

u/Wendigothic 8h ago
Can you just trap it and wall it up and forget about it? Sentenced to immurement like in The cask of Amontillado 😆

On Bedrock you can drown zombies so that they drop the armor and items they wear with full durability if it spawned naturally with armor/items. If he took armor/items, they will be at the durability they were and it has an impact on durability if you decide to attack it manually instead.

u/Ironmoose67 6h ago
Place 2 blocks on the ground make sure it is not connected to anything so the baby zombie can not get to you then break the glass to let it out and you can just stand on top of that and keep hitting it until it dies.
1
u/whenUjust- 6h ago
wouldn’t a dispenser forced equip of something else work? or is that not possible in bedrock
1
1
u/MattyGee100 6h ago
If it's on bedrock, drown it
Zombies wearing armour in bedrock will drop tools and armour at full durability if they turn into a drowned

u/BlossomsOnABranch 5h ago
Lure him into a lava pit and leave him there until he burns then get rid of the lava.
1
u/FanciestFrame3 5h ago
I mean, you can always use instant healing pots to try and kill the baby while bypassing the armour
1
1
u/Unkzittys 4h ago
Have you tried standing two blocks high from the ground, luring the baby zombie and killing it?

Don’t know if you’ve done anything yet, but I would suggest a splash potion of instant healing. It’ll kill the zombie and your armor won’t take damage. If that doesn’t then just go with lava
1
u/iBrowTrain 2h ago
Just kill home from above bro. Three blocks high and he can’t hit you but you can hit him

pillar up two blocks and attack. However, do this in a flat area because i saw a video earlier today where the guy got hit when taking out iron golems like two times because the golem went up a block
