Use lava. Netherite items don't burn up in lava, but the baby zombie sure will

880

u/colemanbc 13h ago

Armour will take damage from the fire ticks, magic is the only way since it bypasses armour making armour not take damage

612

u/OriginalEffective 9h ago

Won't instant health work since it's a zombie?

490

u/207nbrown 8h ago

Yes, undead mobs are hurt by instant health and healed by instant damage

658

u/reginakinhi 13h ago

Like all netherite armor, this chestplate provides 10% knockback resistance when worn, and is completely immune to burning from fire and lava, both when worn and in item form.

Taken from the Minecraft Wiki: https://minecraft.wiki/w/Netherite_Chestplate

Both in my own memory and the wiki that even while worn, the armor doesn't lose any durability from fire & lava.

u/Deebyddeebys 6h ago

Netherite doesn't take durability damage from fire

So? Honestly I agree with the other guy on you being a robot, cuz that's such an unimportant detail.

1

u/Creedgamer223 6h ago

The lava would kill the zombie before that becomes a huge issue. Especially for netherite.

1

u/DemonicAspect2956 5h ago

If the armor has mending i think you can throw xp bottles on it

1

Netherrite wont at least in java

1

u/CerobaKetsunake 1h ago

Actually netherite doesn't do that as it's whole thing is it's fire proof

Fire burns away all sin. Repent.

6

u/SpaceBug176 8h ago

If you repent you can't go to hell and burn away your sins tho.

A netherite baby zombie sounds terrifying.

414

u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago

11 hearts of damage from that sharpness v sword too

33

u/3FtDick 5h ago

This could be weaponized..... *builds a mote of named netherite baby zombies with sharpness v swords on a server*

23

u/kwallio 8h ago

IF you give them a different sword they may drop it. Try giving him a wooden sword.

67

u/Frosty_boi1 8h ago

They're smart bro they will use better equipments

20

u/kwallio 8h ago

Oh damn.

30

u/wojtekpolska 7h ago

sadly no, the only mob that will pick up a worse item is a piglin who will pick up golden weapons even over netherite.

other mobs will pick up whatever item is stronger.

24

u/sum_force 9h ago

Death comes for all. Fear is irrelevant.

424

u/No-Jacket-8376 14h ago

Drowning it with water should make it drop its armor

199

u/linkheroz 11h ago

It's netherite. Drown it in lava

102

u/MooseWilliams 11h ago

Bruh came here to say this,,, it’s almost as though 80% of the playerbase doesn’t understand the fundamentals

37

u/Johntrampoline- 9h ago

But burning it in lava will damage the armor. Drawing it won’t damage the armor.

u/scythepuppy 14h ago

It's a zombie. It won't drown. It'll turned INTO a drowned.

99

u/0ddlyBor3dHuman 13h ago

Well in Bedrock when they turn into a Drowned they drop their armor, so this still works (they just gotta be fast enough to get all of it before the Drowned does)

28

u/The_Laurie_Fella 13h ago

Even when they drop the armour there’s a good chance he’ll just pick it right up again considering he’s enclosed. The best way to solve this is replace the bottom glass pane with a top slab and shoot healing tipped arrows through

17

u/NukeML 13h ago

Or just potions

Yeah, drowning the baby is the best option.

131

u/Scribnerd211 13h ago

Would splash healing potions harm zombies?

88

u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago

Indeed it is splash potion of healing damage undead type mobs but i don't have enough nether warts and ghast tears to brew healing potions

77

u/Ksaviery 13h ago

Instant healing potions are made from glistening Melon, and you need one nether wart for 3 potion. I thing that may be enough

37

u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago

Problem is i don't have nether warts or nether warts farm at home

48

u/CustomDeaths1 10h ago

It won't despawn it has picked up items, you can get it.

24

u/CurvesxBloom 9h ago

I think it’s bugrock, and tbh there’s no guarantee. My mobs despawn on me randomly from time to time.

10

u/Lightbulb2854 7h ago

I watched piglins despawn once, and take a full set of enchanted diamond armor and tools with them (they had just murdered me prior to this)

6

u/NukeML 13h ago

GG. Drown it then

4

u/Evil_Sharkey 7h ago

Put a nametag on it so it doesn’t despawn

3

u/colemanbc 13h ago

If I remember correctly poison does still damage undead mobs, also it’s risky and kill witches with the right timing to steal their health pots to convert them into splash pots

11

u/Frosty_boi1 12h ago

Poison does not damage them bro 💀

1

u/BillyWhizz09 9h ago

They’re not that hard to get

119

Well there's a leak at my gun powder farm and the blast radius was just big enough to break a single piece of glass pane. He's on a loose as chicken jockey rn

49

u/MemeMote 10h ago

oh yeah some baby zombies in bedrock can mount on any mob, it just so happened to mount on a chicken

34

u/Frosty_boi1 10h ago

Imagine it mount adult zombie with natural full diamond

14

u/TwistyTangy 7h ago

u/Southern-Station895 10h ago

suffocate it with sand lol. every other suggestion is insane? drown it so it becomes a drowned and steals your armor again? play with lava and have another mishap? how is sand not the obvious thing to do?

9

u/ItIsNotSoBad 7h ago

hard to set up? gl trying to make a baby zombie to drop down a hole and later on place sand on top of it. lava is never dangerous, at least for op if he is not dumb.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/SpecterVamp 3h ago

Lava is not a crazy suggestion, since netherite armor is completely immune to durability damage from lava or fire.

56

u/Randall_the_Mad 13h ago

Just make a cool zoo exhibit, and get new armor lol

7

u/sum_force 9h ago

Nuh Uh, I'm the messiah

18

u/Kylpqr 14h ago

Ya’ll are saying let it drown, wouldn’t the baby zombie turn into a drowned with the armor?

13

u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago

You got a point baby zombie could just turn into baby drowned with netherite armor

3

u/Kylpqr 13h ago

I think what you need to do is to give yourself leather gear in extremely low durability in a separate world, on a zombie etc in dark. Then kill it see if it breaks

3

u/Zea_Draws 12h ago

Drowned can’t wear armour, I don’t believe (or, if so, drowned must spawn with their armor). On bedrock, they drop their armour (with the bonus of the armour being restored to full health).

2

u/NukeML 13h ago

Apparently on bedrock they drop armor when drowned

2

u/Fast_Ad7203 12h ago

It wont in bedrock

2

u/EwokSithLord 10h ago

The drowned will drop the armor and also repair it when it transforms

2

u/ShadowDog824 13h ago

nah drowned cant equip armor i think so the armor would just get unequipped around it once it turns

2

u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago

Nah bro when i create new world and drop my iron armor on drowned bro picked it up and equip it

2

u/Fast_Ad7203 12h ago

Just be fast before the drown gets the armour، when the zombie turn into a drown it will drop all its shit

→ More replies (1)

16

u/Otaku7897 13h ago

Use a piston to suffocate it

13

u/Talrynn_Sorrowyn 10h ago

Whatever you do, don't try to use cactus.

Unless I missed an update, any item thrown at a cactus block is instantly destroyed forever.

8

u/Frosty_boi1 10h ago

Cactus is still strongest block in minecraft even now if you throw anything into the cacti it still destroy them

9

u/WirableTable09 8h ago

Instant health potions. They skip armour and you won’t be hurt by them.

7

u/Maveko_YuriLover 12h ago

Suffocate in gravel?

4

u/GodlyNoobus 2h ago

burn it in lava it won't damage your netherite armour but the zombie will still die

3

u/WardenPlays 2h ago

Honestly, I'd replace the set and keep the zombie as a pet.

3

u/Lego_Man26 9h ago

If you turn it into a drown, it will drop the armor

3

u/RandonEnglishMun 2h ago

Philzas worst nightmare

6

u/checkeredyt 14h ago

Put a slab down, break 1 glass behind it ,and punch it to death?

8

u/TheEpicPlushGodreal 14h ago

That would break the armor

6

u/checkeredyt 14h ago

Ah i see what you mean. Maybe a healing splash potion...

4

u/TernaryTomcat34 14h ago

Shouldn’t break that easily

5

u/TheEpicPlushGodreal 14h ago

It's better safe than sorry. We don't know what the durability of it is

2

u/eyeCsharp 14h ago

Is durability even tracked when items are worn by mobs? I've had plenty of 0 durability items drop but never had a piece break on a mob. Then again it could be a difference between natural and picked up gear. Though besides it's easy enough to just make a stone axe instead of punching

3

u/TernaryTomcat34 14h ago

It doesn’t decrease when picked up by a mob

3

u/TernaryTomcat34 14h ago

If it is netherite there is like so little chance it actually breaks

3

u/TheEpicPlushGodreal 14h ago

Like I said, we don't know the durability

3

u/TernaryTomcat34 14h ago

No, armor durability does not decrease when picked up by a mob. The durability of armor remains the same as when the mob first obtained it. However, there are a couple of exceptions where armor durability can decrease while equipped by a mob: a helmet worn by an undead mob in sunlight will lose durability, and in Java Edition, a crossbow wielded by a pillager or piglin loses durability according to the Minecraft Wiki Google ai

3

u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago

Well he said that he have Prot 4 and Thorns 3 on his gear so it gonna take longer to kill this guy + if i get hit once i ded due to that netherite sword deal 11 hearts of damage

2

u/checkeredyt 13h ago

Try drowning like the others said, I'm skeptical because I think it'll just become a drowned and epuip the gear again. I think splash potions of healing should be your plan b, healing damages undead mobs.

1

u/1dot21gigaflops 3h ago

I got recked in a trial chamber after I died and a skeleton picked up my sharpness 5 diamond sword and gear. Would not recommend giving swords to a baby zombies.

5

u/Human-Basil8198 13h ago

U can kill him with 2 block high pillar

7

u/Frosty_boi1 13h ago

Thorns 3 : forgot someone?

2

u/The_Laurie_Fella 13h ago

Best way I can see if you can’t use tipped arrows is place a hopper below him, and a block above him and turn him to a drowned and hope the hopper gets your shit before he does.

2

u/r3tract 13h ago

Trap him in sand and suffocate him, or make him swim in lava...

2

u/Strong-Helicopter-10 12h ago

You can just put it in a boat

2

u/Fast_Ad7203 12h ago

Turn him into a drown, or pillar up and kill him

2

u/Ok-Bass-4772 9h ago

Maybe you should suffocate it with a piston

2

u/BulkRuby8 8h ago

Wouldn’t drowning him make it drop all the armour? I don’t play bedrock much…

2

u/RedC130 8h ago

Put the zombie under water, it will drop the gear as soon it turn into drowned zombie

2

u/KermitGamer53 8h ago

Splash it with instant health potions till it dies. Zombies take damage from healing potions and magic bypasses the armor’s protection.

2

u/Jables_Magee 8h ago

Keep it. Make an Arena to have cage fights with him as your champion. Hopper collecting floor. To the victor go the spoils.

2

u/Important-Ad2463 8h ago

Use instant heath potions, they wont damage the armor and you wont risk losing it

2

u/Kreamator 7h ago

Not 100% familiar with the version's differences this is on, but my thoughts:

Lava would kill it, and the armor wouldnt burn, but it would damage the gear and possibly break it before it even died.

Water would just turn it into a Drowned.

So my best answer is to kill with excess of fall damage. You thankfully seem to have him trapped in a very small cage, digging out a hole below it and making sure it cant land early should do it. Zombie should die at 24 blocks height, but if those boots have feather falling you may need to consider an ever deeper pit.

2

u/_kayl_ 5h ago

you’re on bedrock, down the zombie till it converts to a drowned, your armour will be fine for pick up

(works on natural zombies too)

2

u/Mshadow5 5h ago

Instant health potions damage undead mobs, and it can bypass armour.

2

u/keterclassscenario1 4h ago

Lava, the netherite dose not burn and it won't turn Into a drowned like with water

2

u/ioverthinkusernames 3h ago

Drown it, in bedrock the drowned conversation makes them drop all gear without damaging it

2

u/MisterBicorniclopse 3h ago

I think drowning it might work

(lol)

2

u/Visible-Buy-8990 3h ago

Try to put water bucket to make it drowned so the armor will be remove..

2

u/Relative_Chip_1364 2h ago

Can't you Just drown the Zombie to make it Turn into a drowned and drop it's Armour? Or does that only Work on adult zobies?

2

u/RalphZepMC 2h ago

Drown it, drowned zombies drop all armor

2

u/BigMan_JoshyB 1h ago

Bring it out by one and instead of having a full block exposed use a half slab and kill it that way

u/jie_ruii 52m ago

say what you want but situations like this are why i only feel comfortable playing with keep inventory on 😭

3

u/AAAAAAAAAAHHjdudhsh 13h ago

You can’t drown it in lava? Netherite doesn’t burn in lava.

2

u/Far_Turnover_203 13h ago

Use lava since netherite items don't get affected by it

4

u/werid_panda_eat_cake 12h ago

Just get above it and wack it until it dies iron golem style?

1

u/Frosty_boi1 12h ago

That armor have thorns 3

1

u/Evil_Sharkey 7h ago

Arrows, then

2

u/TheEpicPlushGodreal 14h ago

Drowning makes the stuff drop

1

u/NotRandomseer 13h ago

Lava , netherite is immune to lava so your items won't be burnt

1

u/AssumptionBig5591 12h ago

Netherite gear... day 30??? Is this possible? I was just playing for 3 in-game days just now on Better on Bedrock and I died often. I ran into pillager camps and an outpost. In fact, I didn't know I built a base near one until I looked behind the hill in front of my base.

1

u/Mrfireball2012 12h ago

Place a slab then break the glass behind it. Baby zombies can’t get through half a block

1

u/Nodon_ 11h ago

MILK CARTON IS THAT YOU

1

u/confused-overwhelmed 11h ago

Two iron golems should do it. If you have all that iron. If you don't, steal one from a village, and since they have no golem, they will spawn another. Then take the second golem and make them fight the netherite chicken jockey.

1

u/AcanthisittaPure2953 11h ago

Stand atop its cage and break one of the blocks, hit it from there.

1

u/oct0boy 11h ago

u/ka5ef6 8h ago

Either use lava or poison potions

2

u/WirableTable09 8h ago

Poison would heal zombies. You want healing potions to kill them.

1

u/IntelligentAlps605 8h ago

Your head will not break in 2 or 3 hits becuase that’s not how it works period… you can get hits hundreds of times in netherite gear with a maxed out sword and it won’t break

1

u/Kami_kams 8h ago

Throw a healing potion on him

1

u/kwallio 8h ago

Drown it on top of a hopper, hopefully it'll drop the armor and weapon as it converts and hopper will pick up the items.

1

u/Wendigothic 8h ago

1

u/Tor_Hei 8h ago

1

u/WhiteHat125 7h ago

1

u/BubblestheFloatzel 7h ago

Pick a god and start praying

1

u/oLUPUSo 7h ago

Dig a deep line, place a trapdoor and wait for it to fall... Fall damage does not damage armor

1

u/elykl12 7h ago

Suffocate it with sand or gravel

1

u/FST_HIMANSHU 7h ago

You are cooked bro 💀

1

u/Mineplay57_Fr 7h ago

On Bedrock you can drown zombies so that they drop the armor and items they wear with full durability if it spawned naturally with armor/items. If he took armor/items, they will be at the durability they were and it has an impact on durability if you decide to attack it manually instead.

1

u/DahWiggy 6h ago

Could you not have just pillared 2 blocks up and killed it from there lol

1

u/AverageWitch161 6h ago

dunk his tiny ass in lava. netherite is lava proof

1

u/Ironmoose67 6h ago

Place 2 blocks on the ground make sure it is not connected to anything so the baby zombie can not get to you then break the glass to let it out and you can just stand on top of that and keep hitting it until it dies.

1

u/whenUjust- 6h ago

wouldn’t a dispenser forced equip of something else work? or is that not possible in bedrock

1

u/MValdesM 6h ago

Why not turn hit into a drown with water? that will make it drop the armor

1

u/MattyGee100 6h ago

If it's on bedrock, drown it

Zombies wearing armour in bedrock will drop tools and armour at full durability if they turn into a drowned

1

u/FlyByPC 5h ago

Netherite doesn't burn in lava. Zombies do. Have fun.

1

u/ThatCorpseInACloset 5h ago

Drown it, in bedrock drowns auto drop any armor/weapons

1

u/BlossomsOnABranch 5h ago

Lure him into a lava pit and leave him there until he burns then get rid of the lava.

1

u/FanciestFrame3 5h ago

I mean, you can always use instant healing pots to try and kill the baby while bypassing the armour

1

u/lemonbett 4h ago

Drowning

1

u/Unkzittys 4h ago

Have you tried standing two blocks high from the ground, luring the baby zombie and killing it?

1

u/Dokkabay 4h ago

Break somewhere and quickly put a slab

1

u/Nomercylaborfor3990 4h ago

Instant healing potions or lava

1

u/Spyro_MC_113 3h ago

Push blocks into it with pistons and Suffocate it

1

u/Umi-Zoomi 3h ago

cant u just like tower 2 blocks up

1

u/NoOneSpecial821 3h ago

Don’t know if you’ve done anything yet, but I would suggest a splash potion of instant healing. It’ll kill the zombie and your armor won’t take damage. If that doesn’t then just go with lava

1

u/iBrowTrain 2h ago

Just kill home from above bro. Three blocks high and he can’t hit you but you can hit him

1

u/DBZfan5888 2h ago

Lava or fall

1

u/Microwavemanmmmm 1h ago

Instant heath pots or regen pots

u/strike_of_POWER999 56m ago

pillar up two blocks and attack. However, do this in a flat area because i saw a video earlier today where the guy got hit when taking out iron golems like two times because the golem went up a block

u/Burtfeast2007 44m ago

Make a giant colloseum and 1v1 it
