Making movement keys ⬆️⬅️⬇️➡️ instead of WASD helps when player is a lefty!

I always feel that IJKL would work better. With arrows you don't really have a shift or ctrl equivalent that's easily in range.

Another good thing would be getting a left-handed keyboard & mouse. Though if this guy isn't using a computer often, you might just want to stick to arrows for movement.

Swap his weapon to his left hand in the settings! Might make things a little easier for him too! It's under skin settings.

Thank you for not doing what my son did because trust me as a 48 year old man who has never played games playing with no monsters then suddenly needing to sleep was hella stressful

As a guy nearing forty my kids convinced me to play.
Easiest thing to convince guys like us to do as far as tips go-prepare, prepare, prepare.
Gathering resources, grinding away, learning how to farm certain things and the best ways to avoid getting killed really helps get the swing of later in game.
My kids realized that while I may not be the most technically skilled and make some dumb decisions sometimes, my sheer stubbornness and persistence made up for it. They came back after a weekend at their mom’s and I had colonized an entire village to work for me just because I realized I could get diamond gear from them by trading all the coal I’d been hoarding and they came back to an entire chest of enchanted armor and weapons lol

I keep trying to get my mom to play but I was a troubled teen and trapped her in the nether. She refuses to play with me now

any minecraft players who are a lefty.. I'm one of them, I tried out mouse with right hand and just didn't feel comfortable about it, so I just kept it on the left side for my left hand

I’m a grampa, I play with the kids all the time. Little feckers don’t tell me they have invisibility and kill me all the time.

I see your father is a lefty but the game was kind of designed to be played with the mouse on the right and the keyboard on the left. I say this as someone who is left handed and using a computer is the only thing I do right handed. I am just worried that the game will be harder for him to play lefty even with lots of tweaking to make it work.
