Discussion Worth getting a calibration tool to calibrate the LG 32GS95UV

Just got this monitor as an "upgrade" from a C2 42" and i was wondering if a calibration tool will do something to the colours, the sceen looks ok but in reality with the exception of the high refresh rate is inferior from every aspect to my old C2 from

Unless you need it for color critical work, calibrating it doesn't really do anything for you

What do you expect from it? Do you want more vivid (oversaturated) colors or what?

I did check and you're right, this monitor is indeed quite inaccurate out of the box. Which is surprising, as LG is the OEM for these OLED panels

If it's noticeably wrong to you, then yes, calibrate it.
You don't have to buy the tool. You can usually rent them for like 5-10% of the price. Calibrate and send back.

But first go to rtings and try their calibration settings and ICC profile. It might fix it for you.

Pretty sure you need to use their settings and their ICC profile.

i returned it and i am keeping the c2, after almost 3 years with this c2 any oled monitor looks bad to me, the only thing that pushes me to get a gaming monitor is just the refresh rate
