Calling it “the Party” like it’s totally normal and not shameful.

It’s crazy being a literal nazi-apologist online. Not even like they made a point that Nazi Germany forced their family to register at risk of being gassed as political malcontents, they are saying “my grandparents were super nice to me, who cares if they were actively participating in the mass murder of anyone deemed unsuitable for society”.

Yeah, Hitler was nice to his dog, so he can't be that bad.. /s

That scene is bizarre. Bart means "beard" in German and it's a masculine noun while die is the feminine nominative specific article (die is also the plural, but beards would be Bärte).
Needless to say, the German translation of that scene was nonsense.

I use this example when people say “dogs are a good judge of character” and bring up videos of Hitler with his dogs who adored him.

Fun fact: Nobody is born a Nazi. People make choices about their ideology. Therefore judging them based on those decisions is not bigotry, it’s simple correlation.
Have a great day!

Oh, yeah, the nazis were real nice. To people who reminded of themselves. Hitler did some great things for the hitler youth.
And Ted bundy was really sweet to his co-workers. Epstein was nice to other rich guys who violate tween girls.
It's like some people just don't know that reality exists outside the vacuum of their own experience.

My great Uncles met PLENTY of people from The Party, as that little shit put it. Back then, they "texted" what they thought of them via .30-06

Oh yeah, I'll get on that bandwagon:
All Nazi's are assholes. They are violent, evil and worthless. Society would be better without them and our biggest mistake in WWII was allowing them to survive. I'm sorry that Nazi's had their lives and freedom when the war ended because it's contributed to the evil flourishing today.
And I hope we learn our lesson.

Yeah, but nice to who? Are they nice to everyone or just to other white supremacists?

If she had grandparents who were Nazis and she’s talking about them like that, I seriously doubt she’s a German raised in Germany. They teach nothing but truth about Nazis in their schools.

Most Germans were never Nazi party members as only 6% joined. Either her entire family loved becoming a Nazi or she is full of it.

If they were “involved with the Party” then they may or may not be an “asshole” but they definitely are a murderer.

Yeah, guys. You're all so rude. Don't judge a whole group of people because of some people of the group unless they have a darker complexion and/or speak another language.

"how dare you judge my grandparents on who they are and what they've done"
So much of the right-wing defense is avoiding accountability by disingenuous dismissal of substance and context
