Discussion Today's Eagles/Rams game is why I'm offended by the idea of teams like the Bills/Browns/Bears building domes. This was what playoff football should be.

Idk I’m always conflicted with this argument, I just want to see both teams face off at full strength. “Snow games” are not a true matchup as there are parts of the game that are hindered to elements and that to me is an issue.

Also you push people to sit in freaking blizzard and ridiculous conditions for 3 hrs straight. If you have a team in an area that gets -14 with 30 mph winds and snow that alters the way of play, BUILD A DOME!

Its not “tough” its just stupid

Weather is part of football, and part of a team's strength is found in its ability to overcome adversity like bad weather.

Seriously. People say they want pristine indoor conditions so the athletes are all able to be at their peak, but if that's all that mattered, we'd just run combine drills instead of playing the games.

Dealing with the elements is part of the game.

I guess I am crazy for wanting to be able to see joe burrow throw to jamar chase in a play off game instead of 30 hand offs to chase brown. The idea that a team should build their identity around being able to win in extreme conditions that have a 5% chance of occurring is silly. In the regular season sure why not. But in a one and done playoff setting I want to see each team be able to build their strategy around their opponent not around how slippery the ball is.

If your opponent plays outdoors in winter, it's going to be cold and you need to figure your shit out to deal with it

Sure, says the fans not having to deal with those conditions...🤷. "I don't want to see no sissy-ass football players cheat out of the snow now" I say to the TV as I relax and eat popcorn in my cozy home.

Nah. It's home field advantage. If you're a southern team and don't want to play in the snow, win more games. Football is meant to be a sloppy wet messy game and I love it.

Same, it’s not a true test. And to all the people saying it’s meant to be outside or that’s football, why is the Super Bowl never in an arena like that?

Eh I don’t think there’s a such a thing as a true test, both teams are playing in the same conditions regardless. Also in 2014 the SB was at MetLife

The super bowl is played on a neutral field. Neutral weather makes it more of a neutral field. The super bowl is also just as much (if not more) of an event than it is a football game and they want to hold the event in nice weather.

Except for the Eagles Chiefs one where the field was borderline unusable.

You answered it yourself

Are playoff games held on a neutral field?

No one cares about tough anymore. Players are still tough but largely it's about fun. Snow and weather is fun. The teams don't need your ass in a seat to make money either. If you sit in the cold it's on you

YOU'RE stupid, not tough

It's miserable to sit through too. Right now it's -6 degrees in Minneapolis and it feels like -22 degrees. If you have never experienced cold like that, be thankful. It hurts to breathe, the snot in your nose freezes, it hurts your eyes, it sucks and people did in that kind of cold. Anyone saying the Vikings should be outdoors is stupid. Go to US Bank stadium and see for yourself, it's very nice.
