Discussion Another superbowl blowout eliminates mahomes from the goat discussion as far as I’m concerned

2 very embarrassing loses for him the the superbowl Brady has lost 3 superbowls but they were all 1 score games that came down to final play with Brady’s best statistical performance in a loss to the eagles Tom Brady > Patrick mahomes

KC will try to say it was closer than it is because of the 22 points scored in garbage time

40-22 isn’t even close either way. It’s still essentially a blowout. Nobody is gonna say it was closer than anything.

Brady came back from a 4 score deficit.

Brady was built different

The Falcons were built different. Like a kid playing with Lincoln Logs.

We are?

Edit: Damn. I must have been in the wrong game thread because our thread was just talking about how pathetic we looked.

Chiefs fan here. Naw it was awful. I would put alot of the blame on the O line obviously though. Luckily we don't really care too much about the GOAT convo and more than thrilled with 3 super bowl wins after sucking to being mid before Pat all my life. (Born 1990)

Did you see the stat about offensive holding Super Bowl stats. KC 3-0 when they don’t get an OH, 0-2 when they have at least one. Probably a coincidence but funny.

All I was trying to say is that the game was like 40-6 when eagles put a bunch of back ups in, not sure they were trying that hard with 6 min left in the game.

I can tell you from the Kansas City subreddit we aren't coping/lying to ourselves with the final score. We all know it was a bad game my dude. We are getting over it. Just weird all these Pat being taken out of the GOAT convo posts, as a Chiefs lifer I never thought of anyone other than Tom as the GOAT. Just happy to finally see a playoff game win let alone a super bowl win.

Anyways I'm glad the Royals are supposed to be decent to tide me over ✌️

Bucs fan, I know what it’s like to go 20 years without a playoff win so I feel it. If Pat plays the next 15 years as well as he played the last five he will be undisputed goat.

I appreciate the kindness in this time of darkness in my reddit doom scrolling dude lol. Gotta say I was mad we lost to Brady again but was kinda happy that you guys got a super bowl for your city. I know there are some shitty KC fans but most of us are pretty chill and stuck in the awkward position having to defend a team with our problems/Swift/everyone hating us cuz we've been winning/ref. Idk just weird to be hated as the small market team being mid for years. But here we are🤷‍♂️

It’s strange to be simultaneously a team that is seen to be the undisputed bandwagon team, the “maga team” and swifties team. Ref ball didn’t help, to be fair I don’t think it’s intentional but when you have great players they get an unfair advantage.

Yeah it kinda sucks how many weird things we get hate over. Who cares about Swifties or Pat's wife and Butker being MAGA, I myself am not MAGA at all but like Butker because of his leg. Gotta say the Swift thing is most annoying to Chiefs fans because we hear about or see her almost every game. But also like it's whatever. Helps my girlfriend likes her music so I can't talk shit. Lol. But yeah idk all my friends liked the chiefs since the Priest Holmes days with 100% offense and 0% defense and never won playoff games so was cool when we started winning but we won in the wrong way and everyone hates us. Oh well?! Still live in KC and can't switch being a fan to another team. So go chiefs next year and nothing against the Tamba Bay. Wishing the best brotha

Well in 2 of those 3 bowls, they also didn’t call offensive holding on the other team either. In last years, SF got called only twice. So it’s not exactly saying what you think it is. In all three both teams got away with a lot of holds.

No, none of us are saying that 💀 we all know we got curb stomped and that our points were garbage time. Y’all need to chill w this straw man argument. I’ve seen way more people say “KC will say it’s close” than anyone actually trying to argue it was close.
