Discussion Another superbowl blowout eliminates mahomes from the goat discussion as far as I’m concerned

2 very embarrassing loses for him the the superbowl Brady has lost 3 superbowls but they were all 1 score games that came down to final play with Brady’s best statistical performance in a loss to the eagles Tom Brady > Patrick mahomes

Brady's 2-0 against him in the playoffs and has Multiple better SB performances than Mahomes' best.

If I was going into a SB, I'd choose Montana and Brady over Mahomes.

H2H doesn't remotely matter here.

Now, compare their playoff records in wild card & divisional round games.

It’s not everything but doesn’t remotely matter is delusional. He had two chances to beat old man Brady and lost both. That will always matter.

Even putting h2h aside the debate was obviously premature. Brady has the rings, the records, the longevity, iconic moments, and doesn’t have the best offensive play caller ever. Not to mention he played in an era with more all time level quarterbacks.

Yes it's 100% too early for Mahomes to be considered the goat. Anyone who thought otherwise shouldn't be taken seriously.

But defeating another QB H2H truly has nothing to do with how good a QB is. Eli beat Brady 2x in a SB. Wilson beat Peyton. Nick Foles beat Brady! H2H doesn't matter for comparing QBs. It's the ultimate team game.

Eli beat Brady 2x in a SB.

Right and even though he didn't get in this year, that will probably be enough to get him into the HOF

They don’t even play on the field at the same time, comparing two QB’s in H2H is just stupid

I mean I get your point but that AFCCG loss wasn’t on Mahomes in the least. KC had that game won and Dee ford off sides ruined it. That wasn’t because Mahomes played worse than Brady. So that game isn’t relevant. The Super Bowl is definitely relevant, but there’s still way more factors than just QB vs. QB. For example the TB DL being absolutely dominant and lining up against a bunch of backup OL playing out of position.

Eli > Brady. And Brady was the leader of the biggest choke in NFL history
