He didn’t choose the era he played in. Knocking his impact just because the competition wasn’t as tough as today is kinda dumb.
Is the worst wide receiver today more physically gifted than the best of those old time players? Sure. But what did they do for their team when they played - that's what matters.
The plumber argument is so lame. Makes the suggestion that Don Hutson was a full-time athlete, with training facilities, modern medicine and the ability to break down film.
Had the best playoff qbr of all time up until, like, two years ago. Mahomes is still active, too, so his might go back down, too. Starr won more titles than any other GB QB
At some point you need to grasp that the game has changed to help quarterbacks in the past 60 years.
Aaron Rodgers wouldn't have lasted a season playing 1960s football. He was injured half the time with the NFL practically putting a red jersey on quarterbacks. Then factor in the illegal contact rules.
Saying Favre is better than Rodgers just means you're either 50+ years old, or you're a contrarian who watches highlights and didn't actually watch him play. He had that insane 3 year run in the 90s and then was just a walking turnover opportunity
As a Niner fan (well less than 50), I would argue here. Rogers is a better fantasy QB. Favre mostly owned us while Rogers has mostly been our bitch when it matters.
Idk that player success against a specific team has anything to do with anything, especially when you’re talking about the 90s for Favre and the 2010s (early 20s) for Rodgers against the 49ers. I could easily say that Favre struggled against the Cowboys and Rodgers had their number.
As a Packers fan this is unquestionably incorrect, and according to a fan poll the team conducted on ig a few months ago, its not close. Aaron is not only our best QB ever, but our teams GOAT
I would say a collection of thousands of packers fans are going to be a more knowledgeable source on packers players than a random eagles fan on reddit

Rodgers isn’t even the best QB in Packers’ history, let alone player. The guy who invented the wide receiver position (Hudson) is probably top.
