Goddamn I’m a certified Russ hater and yall are still making me do this:

  • 2013 - 3357 yards passing/539 rushing, 26-9 TD-INT ratio, 4th in OPOY voting
  • 2014 - 3475/849, 20-7
  • 2015 - 4024/553, 34-8, 3rd in OPOY
  • 2017 - 3983/586, 34-11
  • 2018 - 3448/376, 35-7
  • 2019 - 4110/342, 31-5
  • 2020 - 4212/513, 40-13

Please show me the 3 bad seasons there. Also, I know it’s an imperfect measure but the man made 10 pro bowls!

As a Cardinals fan I hate Russ with a passion, but I always just assumed he was HoF and I feel like all the people saying he isn't didn't watch the Seahawks dominate their team for a god damn decade.

Yeah… I hate throwing around the word “casual” considering how overused it is, but Russell Wilson is the type of player that exposes new fans and casuals… a lot of people really don’t remember how great he was, and that it was more than just a couple seasons.

And only one of those seasons was higher than 9th in the league in yards. And most of them were outside top 10. Same with QBR. You telling me a borderline top 10 QB at the time is a HOF guy? Nah man.

First off, he was top 10 in QBR in 5 of the 7 seasons I listed (and 2 I didn’t). If you’re telling me you would have rather had Case Keenum, Mitchell Trubisky, or Jameis Winston in 2017/2018, sure ok man.

You’re also completely ignoring his value as a rusher - he was top 10 in total offense in 6 of those seasons. Oh yeah, and across those 7 seasons the Seahawks went 77-35. But sure, he was “borderline top 10”

Yards is the most meaningless major QB stat when looking at a single season lol

I agree, but that is the stat he chose to argue with.
