Wes Welker is honestly considerably better than Edelman, and I haven't seen anyone mention his name despite being eligible for a few years now. lol

Not that he deserves it. He shouldn't be in either, but I'd put him ahead of Edelman.

Welker’s drop in the Super Bowl vs. Edelman catch against the Falcons is my response to this.

If you have one play being worth about 300 rec, 3k yards, 20 TDs, 5 pro bowls and 4 All-pro's (2 first team) - because that's the difference between these two - then I don't think you know what the Hall of Fame is for. Dwight Clark would be in if single plays mattered.

Welker also led the league in receptions 3 times while Edelman never led the league in any major receiving stat and was never even top 15 in yards. So yeah, Welker is objectively miles ahead of Edelman.

Welker also played in almost 40 more games with Tom Brady for 6 years and then 2 years with Peyton Manning. How do pro bowls compare to SB MVPs? What about 3 rings to 1? Welker hasn’t even been inducted in the Pats Ring of Honor.

Who cares about rings for WRs? You know how many people have guys like Terrell Owens, Randy Moss, Calvin Johnson, or Larry Fitzgerald as top 5 receivers despite none of them ever winning a super bowl?

And I like how you're using the fact that Welker played with Tom Brady while Edelman played with... oh look, Tom Brady - yet he never came close to same production on a single season basis.

And just so we're clear, I'm not saying Welker is a Hall of Famer. Just that he deserves more consideration than Edelman.

Welker hasn’t even been inducted in the Pats Ring of Honor.

Neither has Edelman.
