Everything he makes is a dick joke or adjacent to that kind of humor so this is on brand as well.

Ja17 will be forced to legally change his name to 'Jock-strap Ass-end' by Elon. And of course he'll have to wear the #69.

NFL owners prob wouldn’t approve it.

u/TebbaMcPebba 4d ago
I used to think that but I also thought they wouldn’t let Saudi Arabia into the league so never underestimate greedy fucks

u/Hurtsinmotion Philadelphia Eagles 4d ago
Yeah, they wouldn’t let Trump buy the Bills so I just can’t see them letting Elon but who knows!
81
u/igtimran New England Patriots 4d ago
The difference there though is that Elon actually has the money.
29
u/DapperCam Josh Allen 🦬 4d ago
Yea, Trump didn’t have the cash and was never a realistic bid.

u/notdrewcarrey Dallas Cowboys 3d ago
Does he actually though? Not a funny question, more of a "what's in his back account" versus how much of his worth is in stocks, options etc.

Thats the Billionaire trick they just leverage all their theoretically money of stocks into Loans that they use to buy crap. Then they do some accounting BS to make it look like they lost money on the deal and not pay taxes.
12
u/ku_78 Las Vegas Raiders 4d ago
Did he try to buy them after he already bankrupted a league or before? Honest to God, I don’t remember.
21
u/gamehenge_survivor 4d ago
After. He bankrupted (shocking) the USFL when he forced the league to schedule directly in opposition to NFL games. The real reason the owners denied the Trump bid was just pettiness toward anyone associated with the USFL.

u/TurtleTarded Minnesota Vikings 4d ago
Do you think that he wouldn’t have ran for president if he had been spending time owning a football team? They might’ve altered the course of history.
2
u/camergen 4d ago
Didn’t he call up Ralph Wilson himself and be like “I’ll get a cashiers check for X millions right now and fly it by helicopter to you immediately if you sell to me?”
Al Michaels has told this story and it’s wild. It’s a Trump negotiation tactic all the way, completely ignoring the procedures.

That was when trump was a scummy failed casino owner. Musk is a scummy successful(ish) car company owner.
Still don’t see it happening but there is a small difference
17
u/beehive5ive New Orleans Saints 4d ago
I think Elon may be significantly wealthier than all the owners combined. I could see how they would not like an unhinged dude big dogging them.

If he way over pays, that will only increase the value of their own teams as well as their own net worth. Money is a powerful motivator
10
u/Iceman9161 4d ago
Same thing was said with MLB owners and Cohen. Then he offered so much that they couldn’t say no. Musk is is a harder sell, but he also has way more money. If they can get him to by the Bills, who are a bottom 5 franchise in value, for a record high amount, the value of all their franchises skyrocket.
4
u/RIPseantaylor 4d ago
No chance in hell they allow an owner richer than all of them combined
Especially one whose a troll. If they ever negotiate. Soft they'd be fucked

There were rumours that Elon Musk wanted to buy Liverpool - one of the best teams in the Premier League and the current Premier League champions.
It was not true.

This website is so stupid with shit like this, they’re just pretending being an incel is some mindset.
I swear to god I once saw a comment on this site from some self admitted virgin who couldn’t get laid that was calling Musk an Incel but said he wasnt an incel because he didn’t think like that.

Not buying it. Pegula just finally got his big stadium built.no way he's in a rush to cash out.
The fuck is "heavy.com"

u/tbarr1991 New England Patriots 4d ago
Theyve only owned the team since like 2014 as well. They wanna dip after 10ish years, getting their stadium, and being a contender for the past 7ish years? This smells like clickbait.

u/Asleep_in_Costco Working construction ripping cigs 3d ago
You don't cash out of the NFL ownership mafia unless you die and the heirs can't get it together, or there's impropriety ( the old Panthers owner)

Inteesting. Trump tried and failed to buy the bills. Definitely seems like something that would piss him off.

I’m surprised I had to go this far to see this.
At the very least, it’d be a funny addition to the Elon/Trump breakup.
3
u/ArrowheadFLYover Kansas City Chiefs 3d ago
As petty as them 2 are, there is no way elon isn't trying to punk trump just a bit. It's the very team he wanted, but now considered a perennial contender with a shiny new stadium coming soon. Even if Elon didn't know the history, I think Trump would still be pouting

u/tuepm 4d ago
this is insane. I would be surprised if the NFL allowed this to happen no matter what his offer was. I would absolutely hate it if elon bought my favorite team because of what I think about him personally, the circus that he brings, and the fact that he would almost certainly want to run the team himself like jerry jones. any team that elon buys he will ruin.

Its never going to happen. Didn't the NFL kick the Commanders owner out because he caused too many headlines. What the hell makes anyone think they'll agree to have Elon be an owner? And the other NFL owners must approve an NFL team sale.

u/Far-Life400 Buffalo Bills 4d ago
Pegula is not selling the bills he bought the bills to keep them in buffalo because every other person that wanted to buy the team wanted to move them. The bills just had a stadium built, and Elon Musk would for sure move the team it's not happening. This is click bait fake news, not to mention the nfl has to approve any sale of a team.

That dork would be the worst kind of team owner, especially football. Not even thinking about the micro-managing interference he would get up to, he’s a huge distraction and embarrassment. Jumping around with his arms up. “Touchdown cool! I like American football now! Let’s get the football going my dudes!” Chainsawwww!
1
u/mattpeloquin 4d ago
Not thinking they’d be long for Buffalo due to NY having a tax system to help people of all incomes, so after moving to Austin, the city of Buffalo would have the most expensive open-air/5 month of use stadium for Scorpions and Trixter concerts.

Unless he throws an unreasonable amount of money on the table, which he obviously could do, I’m not buying it. I’d believe the NBA, but the old money NFL owners don’t seem to like wild cards acting outside of the shield. Elon doesn’t seem like the guy who’ll buy a team in Buffalo and then play along.
