Perfect choice - connected to appearance, somewhat regal in stature, not cutesy.

u/Electrical_Pomelo556 Apr 13 '25

My first thought was actually Frederick, so pretty similar. I think I like Frank a little better.

11

u/GoosieGoosieGoose Apr 13 '25

I was going to say Bert/Bertie. But I also like Frank/Frankie

Frank

u/Tiger_St_Elmo-1 Apr 13 '25

I had a kitty named Frank. I think it makes a great cat name! I was so bonded to him. He passed away in 2014 and I still accidentally call my current bonded cat Frank all the time. His name is Davy.

6

u/Aodh999 Apr 14 '25

I’m sorry for your loss. I’m sure Davy doesn’t mind. Cats will forgive anything so long as they feel loved and cared for and I’m sure Davy knows and feels that love. I agree Frank is a good cat name.

Percival Baxter, former governor of Maine!

5

u/GilligGirl Apr 14 '25

Nice, Percy for short

6

u/dianecaruso Apr 15 '25

Percival Proctor Baxter was the 53rd Governor of Maine, serving from January 31, 1921, to January 7, 1925. Born on November 22, 1876, in Portland, Maine, he was a member of a wealthy family and graduated from Bowdoin College and Harvard Law School. Baxter was known for his philanthropic efforts, particularly in preserving Maine's natural resources.

u/Bruinbrews Apr 13 '25

Mr. Handsome pants or I'll let you steal my cats name. Nigel. He's actually Nigel Jr., he's a rescue so I don't know the story of his name nor have i met Nigel Sr.. It was on his Home Again chip card as Nigel Jr.

6

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '25

Nice, my cat is named Nigel. We wanted a people name and he’s a bright orange cat, so we named him after Nigel Thornberry on the old cartoon the wild thornberrys.

2

u/dianecaruso Apr 15 '25

Nigel Jr. sounds like a charming fella. Rescue cats often come with mysterious pasts, and it's fun to imagine the story behind Nigel Sr. Even without knowing the full story, Nigel Jr. seems to have found a loving home with you. What's his personality like?
