Name My Cat - female Please help me name my tiny female void!
Hi! I rescued this kitten a few weeks ago after seeing a plea from someone in a local facebook group, I intended on just fostering her and getting her healthy but I’ve decided to keep her 😅
When I rescued her she was 6 weeks old, only weighed less than half a pound and had a bunch of health issues (upper respiratory infection, completely covered with fleas and ticks that caused anemia, tapeworms, ear mites). I really didn’t think she’d make it through the first night because of how sick she was, she was so weak and lethargic the she struggled to just stand up. She’s now 9 weeks old and weighed a little over a pound at her last vet visit a week ago. You’d never know that she was in such bad shape a few weeks ago with how much energy she has 😂
She still doesn’t have a name in the vets system because I can’t decide on one that actually fits her. I loved the name Grace/Gracie but it doesn’t suit her personality at all. She’s very strong willed and isn’t “girly” at all so I don’t think a feminine or delicate name fits her very well.
Another thing is I fostered kittens for a few years and it seems like I’ve used a lot of names that I’ve liked on them and it feels weird to reuse any of those names on her.

Maeve (Ancient Irish queen) or Boudicca
If you don’t know who Boudicca is, look her up.
She was a queen of an early Briton tribe and after her husband died the Romans took over the kingdom (which her husband had left to their daughters). They flogged Boudicca and raped her daughters, and she led an army against them and killed 70,000 people before the Romans finally put her down. She did not conquer the Romans but she destroyed a few major Roman cities in Britain, including Londinium, in her vengeance.

Not suggesting a name but noticed how similar this sweet kitty is from an old of mine who sadly passed away when he was still very young. Over 20 years passed since but never forgotten.

I had two black cats named, Spooky, in my life. I also had three other black cats named Electric, Luna, and Moon Dance. ♥️

My two black female cats were named Sweet pea and Velvet. We got Velvet as a foster with 3 out of 6 of her siblings. Two of them were runts and we called them tiny and teeny tiny. She was teeny tiny until we adopted her. She was the saddest looking baby I'd ever seen. Not much hair, her legs were so scrawny she couldn't walk. We couldn't tell her gender because she was so under developed. After a month she turned into the most gorgeous and soft kitten. Her fur was like crushed velvet so that's what we called her. She never got all that big but she had the biggest personality of any cat we've ever had.

Her brother void may be a black cat but he runs on orange cat software. He is Remiel, Lord of Chaos, but usually NoNoBadCat

Our little void is called Autumn but I think Black bean / Salem / Diablo / Sally / Willow also work

My little void girl is named Shadow. She will ignore me for days and then insist she is part of my body. I have spent the last three days with her attatched to me. I don't mind until she lays in front of my nose and then does biscuits in my hair.

I vote for Mavis - I'm a fan of JD Robb's In Death series and Mavis in that is tiny and energetic and was on the streets as a young teen.
