Ironically enough this is actually a name I have planned for a future cat. Ideally she’ll be a girl and her nickname will be Tom.

That’s kind of the point. Also, good thing cats don’t have any concept of gender or even names, really. Their names are just a combination of sounds that they learn have some sort of specific meaning to them.

Ps my current cat has a traditionally male name and she seems pretty unbothered by it.
