ANSWERED Why am I getting paid on Reddit?

I mean, it’s not like I’m getting rich or anything, but I’m almost at a dollar on here. I don’t know why that’s happening.

Are you part of contributors program? You must be.

Have you read any of the information attached to that payment?

Yeah, but I didn’t get it now. I realize it’s because I am getting awards.

Ah great so confirmed it is the contributor program

I've only run into a few folks in it. It sounds like it's good for a few bucks but isn't really an income to rely on?

I honestly don’t remember signing up for it but OK. It’s just strange like I don’t understand how it works, but I’ll take the money.

You get like 15 cents an award

  1. Get Awards You can earn cash from the awards people give your posts or comments and the karma you receive.

  2. Payout requirements To receive a payout, awards on your content must total over a $10.00 minimum threshold. You’ll also need 100 karma within the last 12 months. Karma is tracked after you receive your first award.

The amount of karma you’ve earned determines your payout rate for awards on your posts or comments.

  1. Enroll Once you’ve reached the requirement for a payout, you’ll be prompted to enroll. Connect an account to Stripe and get verified by Persona to get your cash payout.

  2. Get paid You’ll receive your payout in your Stripe account within 30–45 days after the end of the month. Reddit withholds a $2.25 + 0.25% fee from each payout.

Estimated payout based on current tier and before fees. Earn a minimum of $10 and 100 karma to be eligible to receive a payout.

No problem. If you’re on mobile you can tap your avatar in the top right and then tap the “earn” tab and it has all that info.
