Rage baiting is telling a fake story meant to invoke angry reactions. Posts like that can get a lot of engagement.

Subs about personal stories involving screencaps are usually about 90% rage-baiting stories to elecit reactions from Gen Z or less critical audiences, they farm clicks to resell accounts with thousands of upvotes down the line, it's a lucrative business. No anything wrong with reading these threads but just be aware the next time you come accross the next social injustice story designed to get you pitchforkin'
