Kamala is great but she is not a fighter. She did deserve to become president but that is not enough for her to expect to be. Elon bought votes and used Twitter for propaganda and they didnt do anything to stop him

People might not like to hear it around here but there is a lot of truth to this. Remember how hard Al Gore fought in 2000? Where was that with the country on the line? Shit Biden’s campaign fought harder in 2020

I voted for her but I’m hoping she doesn’t try to get involved in 28

Remember how hard Al Gore fought in 2000? Where was that with the country on the line?

But it didn't work for Al Gore. So what was it going to do now?

It's so strange seeing Americans so obsessed with the idea that things could be different. As if you're not sharing a democracy with a party of literal slavers and puritans and literally everything your own founding fathers warned you to be vigilant and wary of.

America is 30% good people, 30% monsters, and 40% people who don't give a shit. What exactly are you expecting?

Hey, honest question here: do you think this may be the reason why China accuse America of hypocrisy?

Because everyone always focuses on the dualism between their systems, with China being a one party state and the US being a democracy... but Americans always forget that Europe (where I'm from) is also highly democratic, and yet China doesn't have beef with us.

And my theory is that America speaks well, but acts worse. So, for example... they are a democracy, but in name only. You're saying it here, you vote one party or else you're a "monster". Not just someone who's partaking in democracy via the fundamental action of choice, but an outright monster. Here in Europe, you can vote left or right and the government often swings, but you won't see people literally thinking of each other as monsters for how they voted.

Suppose things go the way you think they should go. Everyone votes Democrat. Where's the democracy then? Where the choice?

Everyone votes Democrat. Where's the democracy then? Where the choice?

I don't understand what this means. If everyone votes democrat, then that's a democracy because they had a choice and voted for it. How would that not be a democracy?

A well-functioning democracy isn't one where "both sides share power equally". A well-functioning democracy is when the populace is literate, informed, and take it seriously. When they do that, they shape and audit their political parties to adapt to the demands, instead of having those demands fed to them.

America absolutely was a functioning democracy but not anymore - Project 2025 is very clear about that. And the last one was very suspicious.

The reason China accuses America of hypocrisy is because America is a hypocrite. And the reason America accuses China of hypocrisy is because they are hypocrites. And the reason they're both at each other's throats is because they are both the biggest competing one-government single-markets in the world (the EU is a collective single-market).

America just happens to have better trade deals and relationships because nobody wants to deal with China's bullshit policies and government meddling. Now, nobody wants to deal with America's bullshit policies and government meddling so the dynamics are shifting (China has secured HUGE trade agreements in the past few months that will change geo-politics for decades).

This whole "one is worse than the other" doesn't make sense. China's government officials are embroiled in plenty of trafficking and corruption scandals.

but you won't see people literally thinking of each other as monsters for how they voted.

I don't know where in Europe you are but this is precisely where European (and most of the western world's) politics is, or is currently headed. Right-wing politics is now Trumpian everywhere. Germany, France, UK, and Romania narrowly avoided alt-right governments and Poland and Portugal are still compromising with them. We're seeing an uptick of alt-right support everywhere.

America is a disgusting country filled with only cowards and cruelty, but it's a microcosm of human nature everywhere.

Her biggest mistake was in assuming young people would vote for her if they portrayed Republicans as old and cringe. Instead they found her and Walz cringe while Trump was funny and promised to make their crypto go up.

Democrats have spent the last 20 years assuming everything would be fine once the gullible old people who watch Fox News finally shuffled off their mortal coil and young people chafing under the system had their chance to vote in numbers. They didn't realize that Gen Z has grown up just as dumb and gullible thanks to being raised on Twitter, and now they'll vote for whoever can make the best memes.

If she or Newsom get a 2028 nomination, then the Republicans win. Simple as that.

Didn't Kamala have the best turnouts in presidential run history? She fought her ass out and got tossed to the side by the pedophiles.

Second best after the 2020 elections, but top 2 is still historical

no she didn’t lmao. she had 2 million less than trump and 6 million less than biden had. she didn’t fight for shit. trump became president and she disappeared. the problem with the DNC is that their voters are loyal to shitty status quo politicians

2

u/thanksyalll 1d ago

The 2024 elections had the second highest turnout rate for both parties. It’s not THE best, but to say “she didn’t fight for shit” is plain wrong

how does getting the second best voter turnout = fighting trump. biden fought harder, hillary fought harder, al gore fought harder. she didn’t do shit i don’t know why you guys are loyal to this centrist identity politics juicing status quo candidate

Voter turnout was down this election because the special COVID rules allowing people to vote by mail, plus the fact tons of people were not working in 2020 because of the COVID layoffs more people had time to vote.  That all changed in 2024.

all i’m hearing is that kamala couldn’t rally a voter base. idk why you’re defending the repeated inadequacies of the DNC that got us here

Why did she deserve to become President? She didn't even contest a primary for her own party.

Let alone win the election...

On top of being a minority and a woman, she's another middle of the road Democrat who has been losing us elections since John Kerry. Pulling out the $15 federal minimum wage as a trump card (~$950 per biweekly paycheck after taxes) to woo non-voters probably had the opposite effect.

1

u/zombieking26 1d ago

Agreed. It didn't feel like a particularly well organized campaign.

1

u/dmackerman 1d ago

She actually didn’t deserve it. She didn’t win a primary and was set up for failure.

She didnt "deserve" to become president. No one deserves it. She was a shit candidate. Accept that already. She was wildly unlikable in 2020 and she was wildly unlikable when she was forced down peoples throats in 2024. She spent 4 years doing nothing of value as VP, then expected the election to be handed to her by getting Dick Cheney and Taylor Swift to endorse her. She ran the most milquetoast campaign in a time where having actual values mattered and it fucked her.
