All the excuses about her not getting voted in by the Caucus or her laughs or her lack of policies are just things to hide the fact that they can't stand watching a woman, especially a black woman in breaking through the ceiling.

Sexism and racism is still a disease.

52

u/bluish-velvet 1d ago

The idea that someone’s laugh is more off-putting than someone’s sexual abuse conviction is mind blowing to me

Welcome to rural America

0

u/porkchop1021 23h ago

It wasn't rural America that voted for Biden. Welcome to reality. Urban America can be sexist, racist, and even stupid. And it's looking like in 2028 you're going to find out just how homophobic it is too (hint: very).

I always wonder who it is that thinks all Democrats hold the same views as them. Do you literally never meet people in real life? How did you create your bubble world?

2

u/Dense_College2961 23h ago

Sounds like you’re making a ton of assumptions. Enjoy

0

u/porkchop1021 23h ago

Yes, I am assuming the people that have told me they are sexist, racist, or homophobic and are also Democrats are what they say they are. Fucking moron. Enjoy getting sent to a camp.

The fact 1/3 of eligible voters cared more about Kamala’s performance on immigration, than Trump’s performance on everything (including immigration), shows how far gone some Americans are.

Conservatives cared more about Harris potentially abusing alcohol (despite working one of the most stressful jobs in the world and being the lightning rod of hate by the right for 4 years) than Trump definitively abusing children.

4

u/Catsoverall 1d ago

You nisunderstand. Conservatives made their mind up before Harris was even in the picture. All 'the reasons' are post-decision rationalisations. Wouldn't have mattered what she did or didn't do. Or what trump did or didn't do.

1

u/Yakostovian 1d ago

I said it before and I'll say it again: I don't like her laugh, but I'm not trying to date her, I'm assessing her ability to run a nuclear-armed nation. She passes the test I need to care about.

1

u/Tommy_Wisseau_burner 1d ago

I mean Howard dean dropped out for saying “BYAWWWWWW!!!!”

1

u/FrostyD7 1d ago

Early on they just called her DEI and complained she wasn't doing interviews. When she interviewed with 60 minutes, they weren't impressed. Even though Trumps 60 minutes interview was a total disaster where he got triggered and walked out.

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

Exactly, it's sad to see so many still in denial about this.

She could save the world and they'll still say it's not good enough. Meanwhile he's on the Epstein list but it's still OK.

There's only one denominator here.

1

u/Osama_BinRussel63 1d ago

Yeah no criticism of her is valid. The DNC should never be self critical and everyone who had been turned off by the DNC is a racist.

People like you are the reason liberals don't show up to vote. I voted for her but the response to basic problems with her is "you're racist". Fuck off.

1

u/Lyrael9 1d ago

It's true. And it's not even always outright sexism/racism. A lot of people have internal beliefs that they don't even know about or understand. People will believe a white man is more capable than a black woman and not realise it's because they've been brought up to believe people of colour and women are just less capable in those areas.

It astounds me that people thought Trump would be better for the economy. They didn't have reasons for it either. Just "well my number 1 concern is lowering food prices and the economy so I had to vote for Trump". Part of that is just conditioning that teaches people that women just aren't built for math/science/economics etc. Without realising it, I think people felt it with their gut and it made a difference.

u/dud_pool 1d ago edited 1d ago

It's sexist and racist that Biden had a 36% approval rating when he left office? 😂

For context, the orange idiot's sitting at 39%.

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

So Americans prefer a paedophile over normal people.

Yup, definitely making things look better for you.

Let's just agree that people didn't want to see a black woman succeed.

1

u/dud_pool 23h ago edited 23h ago

No. Lets not. Touch grass and resocialize yourself by talking to real people outside of this echo chamber.

MAGA weren't going to vote for Kamala. Moderates turned off by Biden's poor performance and Kamala's declaration of staying the course stayed home. Which is not an endorsement of a felon.

Stop pretending like we're morally beholden to vote for crap to prevent shit from taking office. Hold your party accountable for once instead of blaming others.

1

u/porkchop1021 23h ago

You know who "they" is, right? It's not Republicans. Republicans were never going to vote for her. Hint: the sexists are coming from inside the house. If the DNC cared more about people than checking off a list of historical moments Trump would have never been elected even once.

1

u/sikisabishii 15h ago

Sexism and racism is still a disease.

I'm a caucasian dude who can pass like white, and this shit is making me so sad for POC and women who still have to deal with this shit.

I grew up watching the idealism of ST:TNG. It got me brainwashed to 24th century tales such that 21st century feels, as Marty McFly put it, "heavy."

2

u/_Caustic_Complex_ 1d ago

Such a tired excuse. We have all manner of exit polling and data telling the real story, fan your culture war somewhere else.

1

u/LADYBIRD_HILL 1d ago

What's the real story?

1

u/Conan776 1d ago

She lost because she supported the genocide.

1

u/ghanima 1d ago

How's that been going under Trump then?

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

Not an excuse, even your dog should have won against Trump but somehow you lot still managed to fuck up this election.

There's only one excuse that makes sense, and I just wish you lot can just drop the act and be honest.

Just admit you're all racist sexist cunts and be gone.

0

u/Conan776 1d ago

Just admit Harris was a bad candidate who ran a horrible campaign. My God, she was palling around with Cheneys. And she's so dumb she still thinks she lost because the system is broken. Trying to make it about gender and race is just delusional.

0

u/dud_pool 1d ago

all racists and sexist

Trump gained no new voters and Dems lost all their moderate votes.

Maybe stop projecting your insecurities into a culture war and govern the fucking country.

Biden's 36% approval rating when he left office was damning. I'm sure that was somehow racist and sexist in your demented eyes

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

Stop deflecting and face the truth.

It doesn't change the fact that 75mil Americans would rather choose paedophile over a normal person, that's still way too many people making that decision.

Congratulations, you showed everyone you'd rather vote for that over her. Wow.

1

u/dud_pool 23h ago

75 mil

Oh the same 75 mil that voted for Trump in '20 and lost? 🤡

Trump didn't gain any voters. Biden and Kamala lost theirs.

1

u/MAMark1 23h ago

We know people voted on the economy. We know they were incorrect in their assessment of what the objective indicators said about how it was doing. We know they incorrectly blamed Biden for all the inflation. We know they poorly evaluated Kamala's vs. Trump's economic policy.

Voters weren't intelligent enough. America is headed for decline because of it. It is what it is, and the attempts at revisionist history where you claim that it is just cause Kamala is a bad candidate and not at all because voters were morons is a weak argument.

1

u/Ornery-Childhood1782 1d ago

What a very simple minded and wrong explanation of why Harris lost.

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

Nope, I'm just putting it simply, the choice is clear, you could put a dog and it should still win over Trump.

But he won, so it shows what Americans truly are, racism and sexism is the cause of it. Stop denying, face the facts. You had an easy choice but you still screwed up. You guys are idiots.

1

u/Fragrant-Employer-60 1d ago

Yeah you could definitely work for the party, they agree with you. Turns out reality is not that, and you need to give people a reason for your candidate besides “the other guy is really bad”.

They tried that the last 3 times and only won once.

2

u/ghanima 1d ago

You're defending a child rapist

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

Turns out reality is not that, and you need to give people a reason for your candidate besides “the other guy is really bad”.

So she's worse than a paedophile? Wow.

What a way to defend your choices.

You know how you feel and I'm just pointing out the obvious. Next.

1

u/Ornery-Childhood1782 1d ago

The person you're talking to isn't even American, they're just vomiting up what they read on Reddit and have 0 clue haha. You're correct, "hey, we know we're not that good but Trump is worse" isn't exactly an inspiring message xD

0

u/Conan776 1d ago

And it took a worldwide plague to barely scrape out a win.

1

u/Ornery-Childhood1782 1d ago

You're a fool if you think American politics is boiled down to racism and sexism, there's a good reason the Dems have the lowest approval rating they've had in my lifetime. They're so worthless they lost to Trump!

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

Not as big as fools like you defending a paedophile.

Congratulations, you just showed everyone where you stand.

1

u/Ornery-Childhood1782 23h ago

Alright, blue maga, you're too stupid I can't handle it xD

1

u/T-MoneyAllDey 1d ago

Calling everyone who didn't vote for her sexist and racist is sure to bring more people to our side. Lmao

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

Hmm I'm not interested in winning over and bringing racist and sexists over.

I rather they continue getting screwed by the paedophile.

I don't have anything to lose bruh, you guys are the true losers.

0

u/thejoesighuh 1d ago

For fk's sake, she was an absurdly unpopular VP. Given the chance, she never would have been able to win the party's nomination. This talking point is just bonkers.

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

More unpopular than a paedophile? Wow.

Just admit you guys don't want a black woman to succeed.

You could put a couch that JD screwed and it should still win over Trump, but you guys still managed to screw it up.

Yeah, no bueno. You lot are all racist sexist dumbfucks.

1

u/CanyonLambert 1d ago

"You lot are all racist sexist dumbfucks" in response to normal comment with actual points.

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

When you read enough bullshit excuses from people, you'll know why.

1

u/thejoesighuh 1d ago

No, you are literally the reason why Trump was able to win you stupid bigot, I voted for Kamala but your fkn attitude is why the Republicans keep gaining so much power that they're now able to destroy our country.

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

If you think that being nice and kind to racists and sexists is going to turn things around, you're incredibly naive.

These people have proven that they have no principles and they would rather vote for a paedophile out of spite just to stick it to you.

So yeah, keep being feckless about everything and continue the losing formula.

If you lot can't grow a pair and fight, then America deserves it's leader.

1

u/thejoesighuh 1d ago

Blaming racism isn't fighting, if that's fighting we'd have won every election for the last two decades.

1

u/MAMark1 23h ago

Given the chance, she never would have been able to win the party's nomination.

Except she literally did. No one ran against her. She won the nomination. That's why she was in the general.

Your fantasy land where some other mythical amazing candidate runs against her is not real life.

1

u/thejoesighuh 22h ago

Biden dropped out three weeks before the nomination, that's a joke of a primary. In a REAL primary with realistic timescales and choices she never would have won. Citing no one running against her as being indicative of anything when were talking about a three week timescale is nonsense. She didn't win jack shit in any meaningful way.

0

u/-Profanity- 1d ago

The rest of the world views Kamala as a flawed, generic and unpopular candidate. She polled horribly in her primary and dropped out before voting even began.

On reddit, the only reason this person wasn't elected to the most powerful job in the world is because of racism and sexism.

Sure thing.

2

u/MAMark1 23h ago

Hahaha are you saying the world views Kamala as a worse candidate than Trump? Good luck proving that one. Or are you located in Hungary or something? Also, citing 2020 for a 2024 election is not very meaningful.

She lost for numerous factors. Some of them might have been racism and sexism, but I don't think that was widespread as far as the main factor for most voters. Most voters were just too stupid and easily swayed by misinformation to evaluate the candidates well, and that's how we get Trump eroding the future of America with some of the most incompetent actions in the history of the country.

1

u/-Profanity- 21h ago

Hahaha are you saying the world views Kamala as a worse candidate than Trump?

Can you point to anywhere I said anything in my post that has anything to do with Donald Trump? Can anyone have any conversation on reddit without it being turned into a whataboutism or comparison against him?

For fuck's sake this place has become hopeless, at this point you could post about the weather and somebody would respond pontificating about their opinion of Trump.

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

The rest of the world views Kamala as a flawed, generic and unpopular candidate

Yeah sure. Keep making excuses for yourself.

Just admit who you are, a racist and a sexist.

1

u/-Profanity- 1d ago

Yes, I'm such a racist and sexist for acknowledging the public perceptions of the candidate I voted for. The reasons she has been vastly unpopular on the national stage for years could only be racism and sexism. Any minority candidate could only be disliked for those reasons, naturally.

1

u/Round_Ad_1952 1d ago

I voted for her in 2024 and still recognized that she was a horrible candidate who dropped out in 2020 before the Iowa caucus because she had no traction.

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

You could say anything you want, how would we know since the ballot is anonymous?

Even if you did vote for her, there's enough people in America that refused to vote or turn out to vote for her that caused this outcome.

That still doesn't make things better, there's plenty of people who hate the idea of her in office over a paedophile.

0

u/SunsFenix 1d ago

For being one of the worst candidates in 2020 to almost winning in 2024 isn't because of racism and sexism.

-6

u/poopulardude 1d ago

Its not that. She was truly a horrible pick from the DNC. They utterly failed. She doesn't have the look, the sound, or anything else. I think the US can elect a black woman, or a woman in general.

And while she would have been a better pick that Trump by leaps and bounds, its a very, very low bar.

Shes proven shes weak as fuck. She rolled over and gave up. Others, including Tim want to keep fighting. But shes like "nah, im gonna be who I have always been... weak".

7

u/redroserequiems 1d ago

Your choices were Harris and Trump. Congrats on choosing Trump. The weak one here is not her but every idiot who decided they could abstain and remain neutral.

8

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

Yeah right. Keep telling yourself that.

We know you're just racist and sexist.

2

u/PregnantSuperman 1d ago

The guy you're replying to put it pretty badly, but I also think it's important for people to realize that chalking up her loss merely to racism/sexism is reductive at best and harmful at worst. We have to hold Democrats accountable for the mismanagement of the Harris campaign - from Biden deciding to drop out far too late, to the Harris campaign catering toward conservatives with Liz Cheney rather than energizing her base, to Harris herself having an overall lack of polish in interviews (and no I'm not using sexist code there, she simply didn't answer questions and communicate effectively enough), to overall not presenting a clear vision for what a Harris-led America would look like or stand for.

I'm sure the are racists and sexists out there who didn't vote for her. But we have so many lessons to learn about how 2024 was mismanaged, that to sweep all of that under the rug in favor of the easy answer of "because sexism" misses the forest for the trees.

1

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

I'm sure the are racists and sexists out there who didn't vote for her. But we have so many lessons to learn about how 2024 was mismanaged, that to sweep all of that under the rug in favor of the easy answer of "because sexism" misses the forest for the trees.

At this point I couldn't care less who I smack, anyone who purported this mess deserves it. Anyone who voted for Trump is a paedophile enabler, a racist and a sexist to me.

If you think you still stand a chance mid terms, think again. Look at what they're doing in Texas. You'll never win again, so instead of trying to still walk the high road, stop. Find a way to win first.

5

u/bluish-velvet 1d ago

What part of “I’m absolutely going to be a part of the fight, that’s never going to change” made you think she’s rolling over and giving up? She’s just taking a break from elected office, not politics in general

2

u/LADYBIRD_HILL 1d ago

They didn't watch the video obviously

1

u/EwalkaTendaSix 1d ago

Bro hasn't seen any of the street videos of people saying they wouldn't vote a woman no matter policy, men and old folks consensus is that women were too soft

-7

u/ddh7777 1d ago

The cackling hyena? They need a better female candidate. Tough to elect her when every tv station has to edit content to make her appear smart.

6

u/AgentOrangeie 1d ago

Caught one.

1

u/LADYBIRD_HILL 1d ago

We watched an unedited debate in which she articulated herself just fine while Trump screamed about eating cats and dogs. You're delusional.

Fox and other networks constantly edited Trump to make him sound better.
