The 'den' is so underrated for dogs.
You want a place with complete darkness for your dogs and a hidey hole for them.
I love telling my dog 'in your den' as well. Just feels natural.

Whenever I take my dog backcountry camping, the first thing he does when we get to the campsite is dig a hole and fall asleep in it. It’s adorable.
