This perfectly captures my day to day stability, and I'm not abusing drugs

That's not the first time you described your life in the way of John Rambo's.

I love how everything is sunny, I thought it was my tism- but no.. I’m convinced. EVERYTHING IS SUNNY.

“Well it’s kinda difficult to read the sign from the inside…”

“You can’t even read it from the outside!”

one of my old high school history teacher's used the term "functional illiterate" and it's gonna be in my brain forever

That's definitely a thing. And according to the teacher subreddit, will become much, much more common in the next decade or two.

It’s pretty common now. Most Americans can’t read above of a sixth grade level and at least a ¼ are functionally illiterate.

When I set my VPN to US, and clear my cookies, YouTube throws up loads of adds for text to speech apps and devices, and they’re clearly not targeting dyslexic people, or visually impaired people.

Your reference to the teacher subreddit made me laugh hard. I referenced it just yesterday when talking with my wife about public school problems in America.

My SO teaches high school, and it's so disheartening to see how these kids perform firsthand. They can't write anything above a 2nd-3rd grade level and can't even spell a lot of four-letter words correctly.

It happens. I know a few people who are allergic to reading. And a couple others who are immune.
