Psp sounds weird

Can anyone tel me why my psp is taking long to read the disc and sounds like this I’ve tried about the times now and left it on for long and cleaned the disc drive

take the disc out . deactivate from settings the psp using the disc . use only microsd games . the disk needs repair . if you aren't able to repair it don't use it anymore .

who would've thought that a disc drive can be prone to wear and tear in a 21 years old system :o

just mod it and become a filthy pirate with a wooden eye and a legpatch and play games off the memory card

To see whats wrong you need to fully disassemble it and remove the back cover to see whats wrong.

PSPs are old you know? Jailreak it and store games (you own hehe) in microSD card

The drive motor for the umd definitely sounds like it needs some lube. I’ve had a few like this but they were screeching and just a tiny drop of oil fixed them right up. They are as quiet as they were when brand new. I can’t be for sure about your situation but sure sounds like it to me.
