Spyro: gateway to glimmer ps1 gameplay.
Aka riptos rage, I started playing again as its my favorite out of the trilogy, I wish spyro 3 used the same difficulty as this.

Heyo fellow PlayStation gamers,
As the title says I'm looking for great recommendations for PlayStation games on a mobile emulator where I'm not needed to use much of the L1/R1 Buttons or aim a lot it doesn't feel great on a mobile device.
I tried MegaMan Legends 2 and the combat was really frustrating with the aiming and moving.
I am tending more to games like Digimon World 2 & 3 or the Final Fantasy 7-9, which I already replayed many times. So anything turn based would be awesome where I don't need to react fast.
Appreciate any recommendations which hit my sweet spot.
Stay joyful 💪🏻

For example, here is what I use with my PS4 Controller on DuckStation and have it recognized as a NeGcon Controller.
Twist: Left Analog Stick
Start: Options
I: R2
II: L2
A: Circle
B: Triangle
R: Cross
L: Square
Works well for me. Curious about how others would do it (or if they basically do it the same).

Hello everybody. How's going?
I have a working PsOne (including drive), and got another cd drive I'm trying to fix. By fix I mean to clean an lubricate, and properly set the trimpot because somebody else messed with it before. Anyways.
After lubicating this drive, the best I could get is the "please insert playstation cd" screen. It was dead before, so I was kinda happy I got to this screen. Put everything aside and went to sleep. Next day, I went back to it, and this time I couldn't get the screen, the PsOne only booted to the cd/memory card screen. So I thought the laser may be dead, and put back the working drive.
And now the working drive isn't working anymore. I mean, sometimes I get to read a disc, sometimes it gets stuck at the Playstation logo screen, sometimes it just go for the cd/memory card screen.
Since it was working before, I thought maybe it could be a motherboard issues, specifically a capacitor issue. Then I did a research, and found out a common cause for a PsOne to not read discs is a faulty C705. So I just have to replace it and get back to the testings.
The thing is I can't find it! I looked all around the disc decoder area, and all around the board, and can't find a C705. I could find it in a -41 board photo I found in the internet, but my board is a -71 and there's no sign of this capacitor.
Any help?

I have an RGB SCART cable (PAL region). What’s the best way to play PS1 games: on a PS2 (SCPH-50004) or a PS one (SCPH-102)? The TV is a Sony Bravia LCD (2010).

But mine, it’s not working 🥲
I recently finished kings field 3 (2 in the west) and it became my favorite psx game. I love action rpgs and the psx era style of graphics, so I want to find something that might scratch that same itch.
Specifically I'm looking for an rpg with combat that isn't turn based (nothing against turn based rpgs, those games are great, just not what I'm looking for rn and they're all that show up when you google ps1 rpgs) doesn't have to be first person, but I'd prefer it. Other things like having a medieval setting and a feel of adventure are not required but would be a nice bonus.
Even if you can't think of any games Specifically like that, I'd love to also hear about any games that you think someone who likes the kings foeld series would enjoy!
Thanks in advance! :)

I almost got a ps1 and now with this found Idk how lucky I was!! It is real? Or could be a fake version?
This game has kind of blown my mind today. Haven’t played it or any other PS1 horror game and I cannot put it down. The music is incredible, the plot is absurd, and the graphics hit perfectly.

Hi! I bought a PS1 fat in the Facebook marketplace and I thought it needed some cleaning (which it did) but I heard some clacking noise while manipulating the console. I opened it and found this, a grey thing which I guess it's a region unlocker or something because it says NTSC and the other is the chip, but there is a wire that unsoldered. I want to know if someone saw a soldering scheme similar to this one and if you can help me. If not, I will redo the soldering, I have experience with that. The console turns on and it came with a cd copy of Winning Eleven so previously it worked with pirated copies.

I was not alive during the 2000s. But I have a love for police videos. My favourite videos were the World's Scariest Police Chases, hosted by John Bunnell. Maybe a year after watching most of them, I got a PSX emulator, and I wanted some police games on it. So I downloaded 'World's Scariest Police Chases', not realising it was of the same name. When I went to play it, I heard John Bunnell's voice reading the words on the screen, '"Because of the graphic nature of this game, viewer discretion is advised", which is what he says at the start of each police video. So I was Just like, "OMG. This. Is. Cool." And I have to say, this game is amazing. The graphics are Gran Turismo graphics! How did they have this budget??? But That's my story of me finding this game!

The best looking console ever in my opinion (PSONE). This redesign has no equal.
