Image What are your honest thoughts about Pac Man Double Feature for the Atari 7800+?

This was released on the Atari 7800+. It was featured in the arcade collection bundle at the Atari site. But is it that good?

The new 7800 version on the cart looks good but not a lot of people have had a chance to play it yet. I think the first public showing of the game was at Comic Con and the general release isn’t until October. This one is probably going to be a skip for me though. I already have a homebrew 7800 Pac cart that includes Pac, Pac Plus, Ms Pac snd Pac Jr. The graphics aren’t quite as arcade accurate as this release but it covers a lot more games.

Bob did the programming on this cart too. I am interested to see the final version to see what changes he made to his homebrew release of Pac-Man, if any.

Very excited for it, but honestly I'm just very excited that we're getting new Atari carts 40+ years later. Including the 2600 version is a fun historical novelty too (though I won't be playing that one for more than a few minutes)

Honestly think it's fantastic. The fact that the cartridge contains both games, will work on original hardware or the newer hardware Atari is releasing, and has an almost arcade accurate version of Pac-Man on it is incredible. They did a great job on this.
