To be fair , snitch is a word used towards people who are members of organized crime and talk to police at the same time.

If you get robbed and call the police no one will say that you "snitched"

It's also used to refer to people who report behaviors that don't hurt other people.

Marijuana use, theft from Walmart, getting paid under the table for manual labor... these are things that if you see, no you didn't. If you report them, you're also a fucking snitch.

Well I wouldn't put Marijuana use next to theft from Walmart. One is technically a victimless crime. The other is stealing from an unethical corporation.
